Bananas and hot custard​

Oh, the simple joys of a warm bowl of bananas and hot custard on a chilly day! Who else has fond memories of this comforting treat? Back then, it was so inexpensive yet incredibly delicious! Some of us would sprinkle a bit of nutmeg, add some desiccated coconut, or even top it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream if we were feeling extra festive. Now that winter is here, do you find yourself craving this nostalgic delight? Or maybe it’s still a favourite in your home?

Fortunately for me I have never had bananas and hot custard…..my thoughts only, but I think the combination would be disgusting

Often had banana custard when I wasgrowing up. Gave it to my children as mashed banana with custard when theywere babies. Never had hot custard, always cold.

custard dos any temp is fine with me. I'm intolerant now to dairy and alternative doesn't cut it.

During winter in Goulburn our boarding school would have hot custard and bananas and I had forgotten how delicious this was. You have now set me on a task to replicate this desert sooner rather than later. Thanks.

I love love love bananas and custard hot or cold anyway, still have it today.
