Who remembers bamboo bowls? Every Aussie home had one back in the ‘60s, brimming with tasty salads and chips during BBQs and picnics. They were durable and built to last for years! Do you still have one of these? Share your memories with us in the comments below.

Bamboo is such an amazing product. From soft socks and underpants, and gentle bum papar .... through to ultra tough floor boards. How can it do such an array of jobs and do them all so well ?
Useless fact, some bamboo grows to over 30 metres and its a type of grass, it's not a tree.
 
OH MY GOD - I still have two plus many other types of wooden like bowls
 
I remember as a young girl, getting together my 'glory box'. I had a set of these bowls, 1 large and 4 smaller. Sadly, I never got to use them as I went to work in the UK and my dad decided to give everything away that I had stashed away. So upsetting at the time.
