Avo fan? New technique for cutting avocados that even lazy foodies will love!

If you consider yourself a bit of a foodie - or at the very least, someone who enjoys eating good food - then chances are you love avocado. It's delicious, nutritious, and goes with just about everything.

Plus, it’s packed with healthy fats and nutrients that are great for your skin, hair and overall health. No wonder this little green fruit has taken the world by storm in recent years!

One downside, though, is that it can also be quite tricky to prepare, especially when it comes to cutting it up. If you're not careful, you can easily cut yourself with the sharp knife required to get through its thick skin.

And even if you do manage to avoid an injury, there's always the risk of ruining the avocado and ending up with a big mushy mess instead of lovely slices or cubes.

Luckily for us, there's now an easier way to cut an avocado that even lazy foodies will love!

Nicole, a mum from the US, recently shared her genius method on TikTok (where she admitted she 'learns everything in life'), and we were instantly hooked.

All you need to do is first cut the avocado lengthways down the middle using a sharp knife. Then flip it around so that one half still has the stone attached, and make another lengthways cut before twisting the two halves apart.

Finally, break each half into two smaller pieces using your hands until you end up with four easy-to-peel pieces of avocado - perfect for adding to salads, sandwiches, or simply eating as is!

Nicole's 'favourite' new way to cut an avocado was also a huge hit with her followers on TikTok (and now us too!), with many people calling it 'brilliant', 'mind blowing' and saying they wish they'd thought of it sooner themselves.

If you love avocado as much as we do, then this new method is definitely worth trying the next time you need to prepare some!

And if you're feeling really lazy, you could even try using a spoon to scoop out the avocado flesh instead of bothering to peel the skin off. Just remember to be careful with that sharp knife, and enjoy your delicious avocado creation.

Also, one of our team members, April, recently shared a 'lazy' air-fried avocado recipe (yes, even lazier than the method above!), so why not give it a go if you have a few avocados sitting around the kitchen doing nothing?

You can also check out some of these healthy breakfast recipes in the video below! (That sweet potato toast looks sooo delish…)
