Australian winery introduces the world’s first ever, all-natural PURPLE WINE that’s healthier than traditional tipples

Nothing like a good glass of… purple wine after a long day! An Australian winery has developed the world’s first purple wine made with completely natural ingredients that are allegedly better for your health.

Purple Reign is produced in Margaret River, Western Australia and it has five varieties of aesthetically pleasing wines including a sauvignon blanc, sparkling brut, shiraz, red blend, and semi-sweet blend.
The manufacturers ditched synthetic additives typically used to preserve wine and replaced them with natural ingredients so you can indulge in a glass or three, guilt-free!
The low-sulphur wines are infused with botanicals and antioxidant-rich ingredients such as blueberries, pomegranate, and beetroot which explains the reason behind the vibrant purple colour.
“It's about the science - it's not a gimmick with food dye.” said co-creator Tim Macnamara.
Mr Macnamara explained that Purple Reign’s Taiwanese import partner found that drinking their wines didn’t trigger his asthma in comparison to other wines that include synthetic additives.
Tim Macnamara, while studying master’s for environmental stability and working as a wine representative, was interested in finding natural alternatives to preserve wine without using sulphites. He eventually released the incredible looking $21 Purple Reign with his business partner Ross Stewart, who is an organic, biodynamic, and preservative-free wine specialist.

The pair experimented with various natural alternatives to come up with a healthier drink. They launched Purple Reign at Sydney's Royal Easter Show back in 2019.
The wine which came about with a rare, enticing colour, was a hit with punters and was sold out before the show ended.
Even users on Instagram are captivated by the alluring look of the drink!
“This looks fabulous. I love seeing Aussie brands doing well.” said one user alongside a heart emoji.
“This is such an unusual wine! Wow.” said another.
It’s popular among other countries as well with a third saying: “Mexico needs this wine!” and a fourth chiming in: “I hope it’ll arrive soon in Chile!”
Mr Macnamara proudly claims that Purple Reign’s red blend and Shiraz wines ‘tick every box’ as they’re certified organic, vegan, preservative-free, and made from hand-picked Margaret River-grown grapes.
“This lush style wine exhibits a hint of grass and a touch of minerals with a perfect balance of natural acidity and freshness complemented by a crisp dry finish.” the creators said.
Purple Reign’s wine range starts at $21 and is available at selected bottle shops throughout the country.
