Whoever said grandparents can’t be cool is greatly mistaken, as you all know. Aussie nan, Judy Fisher, better known as ‘Gangsta Granny’ has recently become a TikTok sensation through clips of her and her grandson’s mischievous escapades.
The Melbourne-based 75-year-old is always down for a bit of fun with her grandchildren Ben and Maddie. Her TikTok account features videos of her pranking them, riding a bike around town with her ‘homies’, and even partying with her grandchildren’s teenage friends.
The cheeky nan has even acquired a signature ‘gangster’ look that she is now often associated with in her videos. She can be seen wearing an oversized basketball jersey, thick gold chains, and a cap worn backwards that’s topped with sunglasses. She’s definitely too cool for school.
Gangsta Granny won the hearts of over 1.7 million users on TikTok. The account was created only a year ago by her 13-year-old grandson, Ben. He initially posted videos of Judy playing Grand Theft Auto on a PlayStation console with him.
Eventually, the followers soared and the grandma started sharing clips in her ‘gangster’ persona. She even goes as far as composing rap songs for her followers!
“I am a gangster with a hat, I am a gangster with a chain, do you like me maybe not.” she adorably sings in one of her videos.
Aside from spitting a few bars, Judy also shares content where she happily dances to rap songs by internationally acclaimed artists such as Eminem and Dr Dre.
Most Gangsta Granny’s videos reach the high million mark, including one where she sneaked out of her room on a scooter, wearing a bum bag on the way to meet the ‘homies’.
“Shhhh! Don’t tell your mother, bro.” she told her grandson in the funny clip.
Judy and her grandson love to ‘hit the streets’ on their bikes. They also enjoy playing a game of basketball and hanging out at Mcdonalds.
“I am so jealous of your grandkids… I've never had any cousins, grandparents, etc. in my life, as they live in another country… The last time I saw them was when I was 7.” one user wrote in the comments section of her scooter video.
To which Judy replied, “I’m here for you!”
