Aussies are ditching their old eskies for Kmart’s retro cooler—grab yours before they're gone

The chilly months are finally fading, and Australians are packing away their winter warmers.

With sunnier days ahead, the focus has turned to weekends at the park, the beach, and outdoor catch-ups with friends.

And one colourful Kmart find has quickly become the season’s must-have.

Aussie shoppers were captivated after a social media creator revealed the store’s newest release.

‘You’ve got to check these out,’ she said while showing off the item.

‘Look at these retro-style coolers that I just found in Kmart.’

Listed as Retro Coolers on the Kmart website, the range featured three different designs—each fitted with a shoulder strap and available in a standout shade.

‘They come in the pink, the purple, and the nice seafoam green,’ she explained.

The smallest cooler, in mint green, held 6L and retailed for $25, while the lilac version carried 11.5L for $35, and the pink option came in at 17.5L for $45.

Shoppers immediately began sharing their excitement, suggesting the coolers could be used for gifts, travel, or just as a stylish carryall.

‘This would make a great pressie with things inside,’ one person suggested.

‘This is my travel bag for the plane,’ another added.

Others simply gushed over the look.

‘The cooler in green is my faveeeee, love the shape!’ a commenter said.

Some noted they had purchased similar versions from other retailers in the past and recommended grabbing one before they disappeared.

‘I got one so similar from ALDI last year, highly recommended! So flipping cute,’ one person shared.

‘I got one the same earlier this year from ALDI, they’re so good!!!’ another agreed.

But with stock already selling out in many stores, eager shoppers were urged to move quickly if they wanted to secure one before spring fully set in.

If the retro cooler isn’t quite your style but you’re still on the hunt for something to beat the heat, Kmart has more budget-friendly options making waves this season.

Shoppers have been buzzing about another clever find that promises to keep things chilled when the temperatures rise.

It’s a small but mighty product that’s already proving itself as a summer essential.
