Aussie Neighbor Exposes Racist Tirade : See Why He Screamed 'It is my country!'

In a deeply unsettling incident that has raised concerns about racism in Australia, a South American migrant has been subjected to a vile, racist rant by his neighbour, an event that has left the community and online viewers shocked and appalled.

Brandon, who hails from Colombia and has been in Australia for 18 months, experienced a level of hostility that no one should have to face, especially in their own neighbourhood. The confrontation took place outside his Mile End apartment block in Adelaide's inner west, where he was accosted by a neighbour who jumped a fence to unleash a ten-minute tirade filled with hateful language and threats.

The disturbing encounter was captured on Brandon's phone as the neighbour erupted, 'Do not stand there and tell me what to do in my own f***ing country, c***. It is my country!' The man's rant escalated as he hurled a string of insults at Brandon and even threatened to retrieve a gun and shoot him.

This kind of behaviour is not only unacceptable but also deeply concerning, as it reflects underlying issues of intolerance and xenophobia that still exist within some segments of society. It's a stark reminder that despite Australia's multicultural ethos, there are still individuals who harbour and express such extreme views.

Brandon, understandably shaken by the ordeal, expressed his fear and inability to relax in his own home, saying, 'I feel fear because he's bigger than me, maybe he's drunk, he has beer bottles.' Having moved into the Mile End apartment building next to the man's Federation-style single-story house just three months ago, Brandon could not have anticipated such a hostile reception.

The video, which has since circulated online, shows the neighbour telling Brandon that Australia was his country and threatening violence. It's a chilling display of aggression and a violation of the safety and peace that everyone deserves in their community.

Despite the traumatic incident, Brandon's love for Australia remains strong. 'I love Australia, really... I have a special place in my heart. Really, I'd love to stay here,' he said, highlighting the warmth and affection he feels for the country that has become his home.

The man in the video, when approached by Nine News, denied that his actions were racially motivated but declined to comment further. This denial does little to mitigate the impact of his words and the fear they have instilled in Brandon and potentially others in the community.

As members of the Seniors Discount Club, we stand with Brandon and all who face such discrimination. It's crucial that we, as a society, condemn these actions and work towards a more inclusive and respectful Australia. We must not only speak out against racism but also support those affected by it.

This dickhead should be jailed for issuing threats as the law allows, why isn't he. Police again ignoring their responsibility. Then the police complain that the public distrust them and wonder why!
True but what is the back story, what made the guy jump the fence and respond by threatening?
Incitement to get a video? Wish we knew!

Hi duckiedoodle,
Yes, once again we're not told what happened for the barrage to take place by the neighbour.
As per usual, there is definitely a big chance something unsavoury has transpired between the two.
The true facts haven't been disclosed.
What, is any bodies guess.
I think I have figured it out.
The neighbour assumed the Columbian is a South American drug lord and is p***ed off because he is not getting a free sample.
Whatever the reason, I do agree there are two sides to a pancake.

This is obviously an old article going back to Sept 2024. Why is it being used again now??
If the Police were called it was probably picked up by somebody using a scanner listening into Police two way radio system.

I suspect that Brandon asked this person to leave because he had no right to jump over a fence uninvited and confront him for no reason using hateful language and threats . It’s called intimidation.
Also trespass, racism, discrimination, verbal abuse, threat with firearm. By the way Brandon would not be a Muslim, he would be a Christian, (from Columbia spanish aquisition all Catholics) there is such hatred towards Muslims maybe he became mixed up. It is too disgusting!

The aspect of the law regarding a "threat to kill" is complex, as detailed in South Australia's Criminal Law Consolidation Act 1935.

Whether the perpetrator actually possessed a firearm or Brandon was threatened with "death" as compared to "harm" and had experienced "actual fear" is all subjective. Then it becomes a matter of "he said....he said".

It would have been better if all the facts were told though ..Not saying that verbal abuse and threatening behaviour is any way okay, nor is racism acceptable. It is a horrible situation when you clash with the neighbours though, and it turns nasty ….. I think this man should keep the evidence on his phone, and also go to the police to report what happened, as a precaution for a future situation….

I agree that this was so wrong and Brandon didn't deserve this. I live in a small country town and we have different cultures here. Everyone gets along

I have been in Brandon's shoes....as an Australian born citizen at the hands of Middle Eastern pig dodgers who claim THEY own this country.

Is suppose this is becoming true as enclaves of Muslims become whole suburbs and eventually take over complete local government areas. Take the City of Canterbury-Bankstown for example!
It can only get worse, look at the UK...
