When one unsuspecting shopper opened her bag of veggies, she encountered an unexpected sight—a stringy white substance, eerily akin to mould, coating her potatoes.
The baffled mum took to social media to ask for advice about the mysterious growth.
‘Bought the brushed potatoes on Saturday, and opened my usual container for storing potatoes, and they look like this. Any ideas as I've never seen this before,’ the mum asked, just as other mums couldn’t help but point out a striking detail.
Fellow mothers couldn't help but notice the likeness of the image to a man’s privates—specifically, the testicles.
‘I thought this was one of my unhinged mum groups, and that the second photo was a testicle,’ one said, to which another replied, ‘I'm glad I'm not alone with my dirty mind.’
A third remarked, ‘Same, I thought it was a vet page, and it was testes.’
‘The [close up] photo definitely looks like it's a sack resting on skin, why does the background look like a stomach with some hair?’ another asked.
‘That, my friend, is called a “dangleberry”, a woman jokingly said.
‘I won’t even comment what I thought these were, but definitely didn't think potatoes,’ another wrote.
