Aussie health guru’s American snack-themed taste test – it went downhill quick!

Among the many things that we Aussies are proud of is our delectable array of snacks. Nothing brightens up our days more than a pack of Tim Tams, Arnott’s bikkies, and Dairy Milk blocks. But have you ever wondered how these iconic treats compare to the rest of the world?
One popular Aussie fitness coach sampled American snacks with her partner, rating a variety of chocolates, marshmallows, and nacho cheese sauce, but things went downhill quickly after one dessert ‘tasted so bad’ that her boyfriend had to spit it out! Talk about a Gordon Ramsey moment…
Bec Hardgrave recently came back to Australia from a trip around the US with her boyfriend Tim and they brought home several American treats to put to the ultimate taste test. They shared their hilarious review of the treats in a Youtube video.
While Bec approved of the nacho cheese sauce, the pair weren't as pleased with Peeps, Razzles, and the Hershey's chocolate block that prompted a Hell’s Kitchen moment.

Bec and Tim kicked things off by trying Peeps, which are animal-shaped marshmallows coated in sugar. Tim was 'disgusted' and rated the snack a one out of ten, while Bec described it as 'very sugary' and gave it a four.
'I like marshmallows but I can’t put that in a hot chocolate,' she can be heard saying in the video.
The couple then went on to give the Fritos nacho cheese sauce a go, which passed with flying colours as they both rated it an eight out of ten.
However, they were less than impressed with Razzles–a hard candy that turns into chewing gum–claiming that it tasted like concrete. Tim gave the candy a brutal one of ten.
Last but not least, Bec and Tim tried the world-famous Hersey's chocolate, but the snack was slapped with ‘a negative 10 out of ten’ as Tim can be seen gagging in the background.

'It tastes like baby vomit… That is a negative ten. I don't want to offend anyone but do you actually like this?' Bec asked.
The hilarious clip garnered over 64,500 views on Instagram and dozens of comments from Aussies and Americans sharing their own opinions about American snacks.
‘I can’t believe Hershey’s is still in business… It’s TERRIBLE!’ one user criticised.
‘American here and I've never met a person that actually eats Razzles haha! Also, Hershey's is only used for smores!’ another explained.
‘Nobody likes peeps in America. They are more of a decoration every Easter. It became a tradition and refused to die.’ a third chimed.

‘USA snacks just are not as great as Australian snacks.’ a fourth wrote.
‘I lived in America for over a year and their chocolates are disgusting!’ another hissed alongside vomiting emojis.
Another added: ‘I couldn't agree more with this video. But my son's father, who is a New Yorker, thinks our Aussie food tastes spoiled and off.’
What are your thoughts on American snacks? Do you agree with Bec and Tim’s ratings? Which Australian snacks would you recommend to foreigners? Let us know in the comments!
