Aussie actress stuns fans with a jaw-dropping dance in minimal clothing

The unexpected clip shows a different side to the usually composed celebrity, leaving many followers doing a double take.

While some praised the light-hearted moment, others still wonder what sparked the spontaneous post.

The Oscar-winning actress took to Instagram from a sun-drenched balcony in France, where she enjoys a well-deserved break.

In the video, Nicole is seen dancing with abandon in a sleek black leotard and sheer tights, her signature blonde hair tousled by the seaside breeze.

The soundtrack is none other than Lorde’s edgy new track, 'What Was That'—a song that’s raised a few eyebrows for its references to party culture and the drug ecstasy.

But if you think the controversy fazed Nicole, think again! The star looked at ease, flashing a radiant smile and sending 'Love from France' to her more than 10 million followers.

The post quickly racked up thousands of likes and comments, with fans hailing her as the 'Queen of Australia' and praising her confidence and playful spirit.

'She’s so crazy. I love her,' one fan gushed, while another declared, 'Queen, beautiful queen.' Even American actress Vanessa Hudgens chimed in with a heartfelt 'Love you.'

Nicole’s willingness to let her hair down and her sense of fun have resonated with people of all ages.

Nicole’s viral video comes when her career is hotter than ever.

Fresh off the success of her steamy film Babygirl and the psychological thriller Holland, she’s also set to receive the prestigious Woman in Motion Award at the Cannes Film Festival.

This honour, presented by Kering chairman François-Henri Pinault and Cannes president Iris Knobloch, celebrates women’s creativity and contributions to the arts—on and off the screen.

'It’s a true honour to receive this award,' Nicole said in a statement. 'I am proud to join this list of extraordinary women who’ve received this honour before me—artists and trailblazers I deeply admire.

The Cannes Film Festival has been a part of my life for over 30 years, and I am thrilled to add this incredible recognition to the many memories I’ve made here.'

Despite previously hinting at taking a break from acting after a whirlwind year—she told the Hollywood Reporter she was 'off' for the rest of 2024—Nicole has already been spotted back on set, filming the Apple TV+ series Margo’s Got Money Troubles in Los Angeles.

And that’s not all: she’s also set to star in and produce the Australian TV adaptation of Liane Moriarty’s The Last Anniversary, the Amazon Prime Video series Scarpetta, and the much-anticipated second season of Nine Perfect Strangers.

Nicole’s latest video isn’t just a bit of fun—it’s a reminder that confidence, joy, and self-expression don’t have an age limit.

At 57, she’s showing the world that you can still be bold, playful, and proud of who you are, no matter your life stage.

For many of us in the Seniors Discount Club community, Nicole’s attitude is a breath of fresh air.

She’s proof that you can embrace new adventures, try new things, and keep making memories—whether dancing on a balcony in France or simply enjoying a cuppa at home.

It’s easy to see why Nicole Kidman continues to inspire Australians of all ages.

Her willingness to be herself, take risks, and support other women in the industry sets a powerful example.

The Woman in Motion Award is just the latest in many accolades that recognise her talent, resilience, and generosity.

And let’s not forget—Nicole’s not just a movie star.

She’s a proud mum, a loving wife to country singer Keith Urban, and a passionate advocate for women’s rights and the arts.

Many of us can relate to and admire her ability to juggle a busy career with family life.

If you call that underwear, you are living in the early 1900's at least - and the so-called dance, my granddaughter can dance's better (Sorry Nic).
Whole clip was staged to make her seem revertant, which she isn't.

Trying too hard to drum up business for her unrealistic lifestyle and ego.

She needs to join the real world. I would NOT call her "The Queen of Australia". There are many other very fine Australian Actress here in OZ than her. If she hadn't married that fake American guy TC then she would never have been offered jobs overseas and many doors would have stayed closed.

She maybe a nice lady but she NOT NEWS WORTHY.

Sorry guys, this may seem a bit 'out there' but if Australia needs a queen from our 'Arts community' then my pick would be Celeste Barber. Not only is she hilariously funny but she's also a good person and a very 'real' one. I have no trouble remembering the effort she put into fund-raising during the black summer bushfires. What an amazing individual, whose ability to laugh at herself surely makes her the quintessential Aussie.

With all the plastic surgery & beauty salons around, anyone can look so much younger than their age. Then you can starve yourself or have liposuction to stay “trim”.

Why punish yourself & your body, just to stay in the limelight. Living life, eating well & adding some mobility to your life to me, is much better for you.
But then you have the Hollywood people living such a phoney life, & abusing their money, just to make themselves feel good.

Nicole Kidman is an OK actress but she is so very far off from being one of Hollywood’s greatest actresses. It’s only because she was married to Tom Cruise that got her name known.

As for being an Aussie icon…she may have been born in Australia, but she doesn’t live here anymore. She abandoned her Aussie homeland for the Hollywood lights.

Not interested in anything she does now.

She was actually born in Hawaii but grew up in Australia. I agree with the rest of your comments. 👍🏻

Dancing?? Come on! She seems to be putting out more and more of these silly videos as she gets older, perhaps trying to stay relevant. I have never rated her as an actress. She comes over as expressionless and wooden.

What a sad, sad person who feels afraid if she's not in the news constantly. Maybe she should spend some time learning to be real than try to be in the spotlight.

If that was dancing my wee dog could have done better, and without all the staging.

Sorry but I can't watch her movies, she is too caught up in the Hollywood set for my liking especially in her movies since "Eyes Wide Shut" Why is it her movies since then have been a bit risque as if she has nothing but nudity or shock value to offer? The best thing going for her is her marriage to Keith.

That's dancing? Between her and Raygun, Australia's f#$%ed
Yair. A dance(?) that was performed at the Olympics is rated worthy as a sport?
Goddlemighty ... right up there with that fine old Olympic sport of bike riding over humps and bumps as they used to do between Marathon and Athens.
