Ingredients
-2 tablespoons oil
-250 grams ground beef
-2 tablespoons soy sauce
-1 teaspoon grated ginger
-2 teaspoons white pepper powder, adjusted to your liking
-2 tablespoons cornflour
-2 tablespoons chopped spring onion
-120 grams vermicelli noodles
-2 tablespoons Chinese dark vinegar (optional)
-2 tablespoons Chinese chilli oil (optional)
Instructions:
1. Heat oil in a saucepan and add the ground beef. Cook until slightly browned.
2. Add the ginger and soy sauce. Stir fry for 10-15 seconds. Then add 2 cups of water and white pepper powder. Simmer for 10 minutes with a lid on.
3. Cook the noodles in a large pot of boiling salted water according to packet instructions. Once al dente, remove and strain before setting aside.
4. When the beef has finished cooking, mix the cornflour with water and pour it into the sauce. Stir until evenly thickened before adding the noodles.
5. Toss to coat the cooked noodles and then serve with spring onions on top. You can add dark vinegar and chilli oil if you like.
