Arnott’s Shapes have undoubtedly stolen the heart of millions of Australians for being one of the most delicious, savoury biscuits in the country – but the love for the snack isn’t restricted to just the biscuits.
If you’ve ever caught yourself reaching for every last flavour freckle at the bottom of a Shapes box, then you’ll be delighted to know that for the first time ever, the Aussie biscuit makers will release the “unexpected” Shapes Flavour Sachets.
“People love the extra flavour at the bottom of the Shapes box, almost half the country admits to eating it,” Shapes brand manager, Alice Johnson shared.
“And we’ve heard hundreds of passionate pleas from our fans to release something like the sachets, so we’ve finally made ‘Flavour You Can Shake’ happen.”
According to a new survey conducted by Arnott’s, 48 percent of Aussies admitted to eating the leftover flavouring in a box of Shapes. The research conducted by YouGov PLC between March 24 and 27, 2022, studied a total of 1052 Aussies.
After the data was analysed to reflect an estimate, the manufacturers behind Shapes figured out a way to extract the cult-favourite Barbecue flavour from the biscuit to create Shapes Flavour Shakers.

“Barbecue Shapes are Australia’s favourite flavour according to (the) survey, which is why we started with these beauties,” Ms Johnson added.
“It’s an idea our team has been working on for a long time to get the flavour just right, and the first time we’ve given our ‘flavour’ away to the public to use how they see fit,”
Basically, Arnott’s is giving you an opportunity to be creative with their famous BBQ flavour and incorporate it into any other snack or dish that you think would fit it best such as hot chips, popcorn, or even fried chicken! The possibilities are endless.
But if you want to get your hands on it, you have to be quick as only the first 2500 applicants who visit Arnotts.com and register their details will receive a set of sachets in the post completely free of charge!
“Shapes fans are some of the most passionate around and we have no doubt they’re going to be thrilled to try the sachets,” she said. “We can’t wait to see what recipes are inspired by the new Shapes Flavour Shakers.”
If you’re fortunate enough to get a set of sachets, what would you do with them? Share your ideas with us in the comments below!
