Are there books that changed the way you see the world?
Just wrapped up Animal Farm and wow, what a perspective shift I got! It’s amazing how a great book can transport you and make you rethink the world. Anyone else had a book shake up their worldview? When I arrived in Australia 55 years ago I met a wonderful elderly woman who suggested that I read 3 books that she thoroughly recommended as an introduction to the real Australia.
They were
1 We of the never never.
2 No roads go by.
3. Crow on a barbed wire fence.
How right she was. Sadly I don't have the books anymore but they taught me so much about the wonderful land I now call home.
