Anzac Day 2022 trading hours – everything you need to know!

Anzac Day on the 25th is fast approaching! Since the public holiday falls on a Monday this year, we have another long weekend waiting for us just around the corner.

To make up for the past two years of muted events, Aussies will see a return to communities coming together as commemorations, marches, dawn services and reunions are finally being allowed for this year's Anzac Day.

And here's a piece of good news for punters, even pubs and clubs will now be permitted to organise and host two-ups over the three-day long weekend as part of the annual Anzac tradition.

However, Anzac Day is still considered a restricted trading day until the afternoon, which means supermarkets and independent retail stores will remain closed in the morning.

Exemptions to this rule are essential shops such as petrol stations, pharmacists, convenience stores and some cafes.

Here, we're sharing with you folks a definitive state-by-state guide to know whether your local stores have reduced trading hours or are closed altogether on Monday:

Seems like only Qld and WA are the only states closed on Anzac Day. All the other states are open half day in the afternoon. Disappointed with the “other states”. Anzac Day is a day of rememberance for our armed service men and women who fought to protect our country !
