Andrew O’Keefe faces arrest after latest run-in with the law

The world of television is often seen as glamorous and exciting, but it's not without its darker moments, especially when one of its stars finds themselves on the wrong side of the law.

In a turn of events, former Seven host Andrew O’Keefe has found himself in hot water once again, this time for allegedly driving under the influence of drugs.

Andrew O’Keefe, a household name known for his charismatic presence on The Chase Australia, has been arrested following a series of troubling incidents.

According to media reports, the former TV host was stopped on Sunday morning in Bellevue Hill, where he allegedly returned a positive roadside drug test.

This latest incident adds to a growing list of legal challenges for O’Keefe, who has been a familiar face on television for years.

The situation escalated when New South Wales Police alleged that O’Keefe had threatened a man at an address in Point Piper just ‘a short time’ before his encounter with law enforcement.

The details surrounding this altercation remain unclear, but it was serious enough to warrant his arrest and subsequent transport to Waverley Police Station to assist police with their inquiries.

While O’Keefe has yet to be formally charged for this latest incident, he is no stranger to the courtroom.

He is already due to face Downing Centre Local Court on 6 August for a separate matter in which he allegedly drove a vehicle despite having a suspended licence.

The string of legal issues for O’Keefe began six months ago when he was found guilty of common assault, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, two counts of possessing a prohibited drug, and contravening an apprehended violence order following a violent altercation with a woman in September 2021.

For these offences, he was sentenced to a 12-month community corrections order and three 18-month community corrections orders related to the domestic violence charges.

However, O’Keefe has appealed to the NSW District Court, which is set to be heard on 31 July.

He is constantly being arrested either for domestic violence , driving under the influence or drugs.

How is he still walking free !

This last arrest he got caught driving under the influence and he also had an ice pipe in his pocket which he tried to say someone else put it there.

He had everything at his feet and he blew it all , time and time again

Very sad fall from grace. A troubled soul who seems to be suffering from mental illness. Also has anger issues. And is not ready to reach out for help he needs. Very public fall from grace. Hopefully he will reach out for the help he needs before it's to late.
So true and probably caused by all the drugs he has taken.

It's sad to see someone who was famous throw their life away because they can't or won't stop taking drugs. He always is blaming other persons for his actions and it's about time that he take a good hard look in the mirror. You are the problem Andrew O'Keefe, not the police or the courts or even the people you assault. You had everything and you threw it all away. Sad really.

Yes, especially ice. That turned my beautiful eldest son into an angry dangerous person that I didn't even recognise.
So sad what people do to themselves, what starts out as a bit of fun, or so they think, turns into an absolute disaster.
My two boys no longer talk. My youngest son doesn't want his brother around his children.
I no longer have any contact either as his sister is scared of him, and she is my first priority.
It has torn my family apart.

Another example of what troubles emerge when using alcohol and other drugs. This happens time and again. I don’t know why its effects seem to change some people’s behaviour so drastically. Another successful person ruining his life. Such a waste👎
