'And that's a positive?': Aussies slam ScoMo after spotting him with controversial figures

As the clock struck midnight, many Aussies had their way of ringing the new year in.

Even public figures shared their way of welcoming 2025.

However, former Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison set social media abuzz after rubbing shoulders with some of the most intriguing figures for the new year.

Often called ScoMo, the former Australian Prime Minister was seen in a glitzy New Year's Eve party with United States' president re-elect Donald Trump.

The event, held at Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, also had the world's richest person, Elon Musk, and soon-to-be vice president JD Vance in attendance.

The social media sphere buzzed with activity when ScoMo shared a photo of himself and his wife Jenny alongside the Trumps.

Another photo showed ScoMo with Trump, giving his signature thumbs up.

'HNY 2025 from Mar-a-Lago,' ScoMo wrote in the caption, likely expecting a flood of well-wishes.

However, the replies were not quite the pat on the back he hoped for.

Retired radio presenter Neil Mitchell led the charge with a pointed critique.

'And that's a positive?' Mitchell asked.

Other social media users also chimed in and expressed their sentiments.

'As a pastor and Christian, what a disappointment to see you celebrating this ungodly man,' one wrote.

'Congratulations on achieving the remarkable feat of being the most despised individual in Australia!' another exclaimed.

'Do yourself a favour—show a shred of dignity and spare the public the misery of seeing your face,' a third commented.

However, it was not all doom and gloom in the comment section.

Some users congratulated Morrison and expressed their support.

'Congratulations, Mr Morrison! We all like you!' one supporter wrote.

Another supporter encouraged him to enjoy the moment despite the critique he received from the photos.

'Good on you. Where is KRudd? Busy packing his bags?' a commenter wrote humorously, referencing the current Australian Ambassador to the US, Kevin Rudd.

The gathering at Mar-a-Lago wasn't just about ringing in the new year; it was a convergence of political powerhouses.

Morrison's presence at the event hinted at his potential political comeback after resigning from politics a year prior and joining American Global Strategies (AGS).

The internet's reaction to Morrison's New Year photos should be a reminder of the nature of politics.

As the world watches Trump's second term unfold, all eyes will be on how these relationships evolve and what they mean for Australia and its future.

It is up to ScoMo with who he spends his time . It is not of anyone’s business . Many people may not like Trump , but Americans have voted and he is the one the majority of the USA have voted for . Why making all this noice , see how he is going to lead the USA and then comment if he fails to get a better USA.

You are absolutely correct. What amuses me, is the name calling Trump is subjected to - bigot, racist, misogynist etc. Most people will tell you that they don't believe a thing they hear or see on the news, and then immediately quote what they read in the paper or heard on radio or TV news. If people bothered to do a bit of basic research, they'd realise that the media is feeding them a pack of lies.
Don't forget! The immigrants eat the cats and dogs....

Or is that fake news as well?

I've seen actual video footage of a woman's cat hanging from her next door neighbour's clothesline as he skins it.

I've also seen video footage of men chasing and catching ducks in the local park. They then wring the ducks' necks and carry them home. I don't imagine they use them for anything other than eating.

It always amuses me when people declare something doesn't exist because they haven't seen it, or haven't heard of it before.

I believe like everything else he has done and will do it will only benefit him. He may be fishing for the ambassadorship, if he thinks people will bring him back in Australia dream on no one forgets his 5 ministerial, positions he had before he was ousted, or the people he p***** off when he visited the fire zones. Or his attempt to bring people on government income down even further by the indue card, he has to many f*** ups to be even showing his face on social media, at least the country is not burning this time.
At least Morrison has not had the stuff ups that this useless idiot Albanese has and continues to do so .... what a disgrace this 'man' is ... weak as piss!

Did Moron Son twiddle his thumbs in Hawaii while the NSW South Coast burned to a crisp?

Now WHO is weak as piss, shirking the task. No wonder he got f**ked off after having his arse handed to him on a platter by the ALP in May 2022. :ROFLMAO:

This person always gets nasty if you have a different opinion. I simply fall back on Socrates who said, 'When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser'.
I don't have opinions....I have views.

An opinion is based on one's subjective feelings and beliefs, not fact. Opinions, while theoretically never wrong, can be based on misinformation.

On the other hand, a view is an objective concept based on fact, evidence and observation, and provable through presentation of tangible facts, not emotion and thoughts.

Oh dear god! We're playing semantics now are we? I'm too old to waste time splitting hairs. Have a pleasant evening.
