Oodnadatta
Oodnadatta is a remote outback town in South Australia, notable for being a terminus of the former Ghan railway line, and the starting point of the Oodnadatta Track. Located 1,043 kilometers north-north-west of Adelaide, this small community is a significant stop for travellers in the Australian outback.
The old railway station now serves as a museum. From the 1880s to the 1930s, Oodnadatta was a base for camel drivers and their animals, which provided cartage when the railway was under construction and along outback tracks before roads were established.
Oodnadatta does not have a pub, but there is the William Creek pub just down the Oodnadatta Tracl. But if you’re looking for suppliees you would need to stop at the Pink Roadhouse
