Allen's announces new lolly line in collaboration with popular board game

Lollies are a great treat to have once in a while.

With some popular treats coming back on the shelves for the past year, Aussies can now have a blast from the past while enjoying them with their grandchildren.

A famous lolly brand recently stirred up excitement among sweet-toothed Aussies with a surprise.

Confectionery brand Allen's unveiled a playful twist on their fruity flavours with a limited-edition range of Monopoly-inspired lollies.

The Allen's inspired by Monopoly ($5) was a nod to the timeless board game that saw families and friends huddle around tables for generations, engaging in the cutthroat business of buying and selling properties.

Fret not because, unlike the board game, the only things you'll be trading with these lollies are smiles and fond memories.

The iconic Allen's flavours went through a transformation to represent the various Monopoly tokens.

The flavours include:
  • Strawberry Hotel
  • Pink Raspberry Dog
  • Green Apple Car
  • Zesty Orange Top Hat, and
  • Pineapple Duck.
Each flavour pays homage to the game and offers a unique way to enjoy Allen's lollies.

Nestlé's Head of Marketing Confectionery, Melanie Chen, expressed the joy behind this innovative creation.

'Buying, selling, dreaming, and scheming just got sweeter. By combining the beloved tokens from Monopoly with the delightful taste of Allen's, it's a great excuse to get friends or family around the table to sweeten the fun,' she shared.

'We know everyone has their favourite token, and we're sure they will find the same love for the Allen's inspired by Monopoly lollies.'

The sweets are now available in supermarkets and online stores nationwide.

However, the Allen's inspired by Monopoly is a limited edition treat, so it's a race against the clock to get them before they vanish from the shelves.

Earlier this month, Allen's sealed a partnership with the aromatic experts from Dusk to launch lolly-inspired home fragrances.

The partnership released a range of scents, capturing the essence of Allen's lollies like Frogs Alive, Sherbies, and the assorted Party Mix.

With prices ranging from $12.99 for bath bombs to $54.99 for a 350g candle, these fragrant treats are the perfect accompaniment to a cosy night in or a festive gathering.

In 2020, famous dairy brand Oak released limited edition milk products flavoured with Allen's Pineapples, Fantales, and Nestle Peppermint Crisp.

The products showcased the versatility and enduring popularity of Allen's flavours.

Whether you're a die-hard fan of their classic lollies or eager to try the latest creations, Allen's just proved that there's always room for sweetness in our lives.
