I was pleased to attend Germany’s open training session at Central Coast Regional Sporting and Recreation Complex on the weekend, ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup Australia & New Zealand 2023™. It says a lot about our local facilities that Germany (world number two), and England (ranked fourth), have elected to use our region as their training base during the world’s biggest women’s football tournament.
We continue to deliver road improvements and maintenance works across the Central Coast this week. Some of the works currently underway include road pavement and associated works at Blackwall and Avoca; heavy patching at Mardi; road grading at Kulnura, Somersby and Mangrove Mountain, plus pothole filling at Gosford, Long Jetty, Ourimbah, Woy Woy, and more!

Did you know that batteries placed in your three kerbside bins can cause fires in the trucks, at the recycling depot and landfills? They also pose a threat to workers. If you cannot safely remove the battery from your item, please dispose of the whole item with the battery intact. You can drop off unlimited quantities of e-waste items for free at any of our waste facilities.
