The current state of inflation is making it difficult for many people to shop at their favourite boutiques. The prices of items have gone up significantly, making it hard to indulge in the same luxurious items that we may have been able to before. This is especially true for those who are on a tight budget.
While some people may be able to afford the inflated prices, many of us are having to rethink our shopping habits. We may need to find cheaper alternatives or do without certain items altogether.
But, did you know that you can still get your hands on some 'gourmet' items without having to break the bank?
No need to do a double take, folks! ALDI has recently opened a new 'boutique' in Melbourne's central business district (CBD).
Beginning on September 8, the brand-new corner store on Swanston Street will provide customers with products that have a 'gourmet twist' while maintaining the chain's well-known affordable prices.

ALDI Communications Director Adrian Christie said that customers can get their hands on a range of items at low rates while shopping at the new boutique store.
'They're low prices, we won't be beaten and that remains the same in our corner store format,' he remarked.
Along with the retailer's Special Buys, the store also offers artisan bread made in Melbourne as well as prepared meals and snacks that can be grabbed on the go.
Mr Christie added: 'If it's a Crofton saucepan that you're after this week or a fishing rod, you can pick that up with your sourdough.'
The Victorian government also commented on the opening of the new store, saying it will help the city recoup lost revenue from lockdowns.
Paul Guerra from the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry explained: 'It's great for businesses to see the opportunities, to experiment a bit, try a new format in the centre of Melbourne.'
'I think we'll see businesses coming together to share space, which means that people will come back into the office.'
'(It's) slightly different to what we were before, but (we'll) come back and come back strongly.'
While there are no announcements or reports about ALDI rolling out this boutique in other locations, it should be noted that the retailer has some corner stores in Darlinghurst and Northern Sydney, NSW. More information on the corner stores can be viewed here.
Scoring quality items at low prices is like finding a needle in a haystack - but it can be done! With a little patience and elbow grease, you can find amazing deals on everything from clothes to furniture. We recommend checking out the Money Saving Hacks and the Deals, Discounts, and Bargains sections of the SDC website to stay on top of some of the best offers (and you don't have to wait for the next ALDI boutique to open).
