Two popular cheese buys are being urgently recalled from Aldi stores across Australia due to listeria contamination. This product is in fact the second cheese product that has been recalled across the nation this week, with ‘Good To Go’ snack varieties being recalled from Woolworths and IGA just yesterday.
Aldi has announced that it is pulling Snackers Market Little Pickers Cubed Tasty Cheese and Mini Crackers (35g) and Snackers Market Little Pickers Cubed Tasty Cheese and Pretzels (40g) from its shelves.

Food Standards Australia has confirmed that the recall is due to listeria monocytogenes contamination — a bacteria that may cause fever, chills, muscle aches, nausea, and diarrhea when consumed.
Additionally, two varieties of ham products were also recalled for suspected listeria contamination last month.

Customers who have purchased the recalled products were advised to not consume them.
Food Standards Australia said: “Listeria may cause illness in pregnant women and their unborn babies, the elderly and people with low immune systems."
“Consumers should not eat this product.”
“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice and should return the products to the place of purchase for a full refund.”
More information regarding the recall can be found at this link.
Have you purchased one of these products? This is a friendly reminder to not consume them!
