ALDI reveals exciting new beer collection—find out how to join the celebrations!

Beer connoisseurs have another reason for celebration.

ALDI, the German supermarket chain well-loved Down Under, is teaming up with a multinational brewery to introduce a new beer range.

Plus, they’re putting on an exclusive event to kick off the celebrations!

The ‘Special Brews by ALDI’ collection, created in collaboration with BrewDog, one of the world's leading craft beer breweries, is set to hit ALDI stores nationwide on 20 December.

The new beer range is a testament to ALDI's commitment to providing quality products at affordable prices.

To mark this exciting occasion, ALDI is hosting a one-night-only pop-up bar, with all proceeds going to charity.

The star of the collection is the ALD IPA, a unique brew crafted with four different types of hops, resulting in a fruity drink with notes of citrus, toast, and stone fruits.

Despite its complex flavour profile, the beer maintains a moderate alcohol content of four per cent ABV.

The collection will be available for purchase in ALDI stores, with a four-pack priced at $13.

Paul Handley, ALDI’s Beer Expert and Buying Director, expressed his excitement about the new launch.

'Special Brews by ALDI and our new, exclusive ALD IPA with BrewDog is a first for ALDI Australia, expanding our award-winning range of beers and showing Aussies that they can enjoy a craft experience without the hefty prices,' he said.

‘We are so excited to welcome patrons to this new experience and for Aussies to crack open the new ALD IPA.’

‘Rest assured, if you have left your Christmas celebration plans to the last minute, Special Brews by ALDI is here to save the day—maybe even the entire silly season,’ Handley added.

‘Aussies know ALDI for delivering the best value on everyday groceries, but we’re taking it a step further by delivering a night out in Sydney for under a tenner this holiday season.’

‘We want to help Aussies come together and celebrate big—so don’t be a Scrooge, shout your mates or colleagues a round of ALD IPA this Christmas and still have enough left in the wallet for the taxi home after.’

Ed Bott, BrewDog Australia’s CEO, assured beer enthusiasts that despite the low price, the ALD IPA maintains the high quality that BrewDog fans have come to expect. The beer was crafted in BrewDog's Brisbane brewery, further cementing the collaboration's commitment to local production.

The pop-up bar event, set to take place on 13 December from 3 pm at Hotel Sweeney’s in Sydney’s CBD, will offer patrons a sneak peek at the new IPA range. Customers can purchase up to three drinks for $3.25 each and will also have the opportunity to sample ALDI’s premium Blackstone Gourmet Snack Co. Black Edition Deli Style Chips in Smokey Chorizo and Truffle and Olive Oil flavours free of charge.

In the spirit of giving, all proceeds from the pop-up bar event will be donated to Camp Quality, a charity dedicated to supporting children facing cancer and their families.

Something that I noticed the other day was that there was no "alcohol free" beer in Aldi. As someone who enjoys a beer on a hot day but, because of medical circumstances, I can no longer drink alcohol... C'mon Aldi lets get some on the shelves....
