ALDI has recalled two popular sauces over fears that an undeclared ingredient could cause a major allergic reaction in consumers.
The Remano Basil Pesto 190g and Remano Sun-dried Tomato Pesto 190g sauce jars have been pulled from store shelves after it was discovered that peanuts, which are not declared on the ingredient list, could lead to a reaction in those with an allergy.
The retailer's statement read: 'ALDI takes product quality and safety seriously and wishes to advise all customers of a recall of Remano Basil Pesto 190g and Remano Sundried Tomato Pesto 190g.'
'Customers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full cash refund. We apologise for any inconvenience.'
The products were available for purchase at ALDI stores across NSW, ACT, VIC, SA, WA, and QLD.
