Aldi offers three Christmas family menus for under $60

There are only 51 days left until the 25th of December (how crazy is that)!

To help, Aldi has prepared a few budget-friendly meal plans that make it easier for families and friends to host Christmas on a budget.

The supermarket has done all the preparation and budgeting so customers can go ahead and purchase the festive meals without the hassle.

"We've gone traditional with the ham, we've also got a turkey, and then for those seafood lovers - a beautiful seafood feast," said Kylie, a representative from Aldi.

Menu one

The first menu feeds six people for $59.23 — which makes it less than $10 per person.

It includes 100 per cent Australian half leg ham, which is $8.49 per kg, for the main dish, and for the sides: goose fat potatoes at $3.99, and maple bacon-wrapped scallops for $12.99.

The set also comes with a vintage Christmas pudding with custard and fresh Aussie blueberries, only for $14.99.

On top of the menu, customers can also add a salmon wellington for an additional $12.99.

Menu two

The second menu prides itself on all things turkey, and it is able to feed six people for $56.95, or $9.49 per person.

Kylie said, “We have our beautiful turducken, so that's a turkey, a duck and a chicken all in one", which sells for $29.99 for one and a half kilograms.

It comes with Aldi’s cauliflower bake which is available all year round, and truffle mushroom potato gratins which are available in store. Both items retail for $4.99.

Kylie also said that the supermarket has Turkey Kiev meatballs for $5.99, salmon parcels for $4.99, and for those with a sweet tooth, marzipan stollen for $5.99.

For those who want something a little extra, they have the option to add maple bacon turkey for an additional $24.99 or turkey breast stuffed with apple and cranberries for $17.99.

Menu three

Last, but most definitely not the least, is menu number three which feeds six people for $56.95; that’s around $9.50 per person.

"We have these beautiful tiger prawns wrapped in pancetta." Each comes in at $19.88.

A whole side of pre-marinated salmon for $19.99 per 700g is also an option. The same goes for some honey-glazed parsnips for $2.99.

And for those who want to upgrade their meals for an additional price, the frozen prawns are available for $24.99 per kilo. Or, they can opt for the lobster tails with garlic herb butter which costs $29.99 for a two-pack.
