ALDI customer sees ‘surprising’ find in packet of red onions: ‘They’ll probably make you cry’

When we think of grocery shopping, we often picture the mundane task of ticking items off our list and navigating through the aisles.

But for one ALDI shopper, a routine trip to the store turned into an unexpected adventure when she discovered a rather 'cheeky' surprise hidden among her purchases.

The incident unfolded as an Irish customer was unpacking her groceries at home, only to find a label on her bag of red onions that was far from ordinary.

To her astonishment, the tag bore an image of a hand with the middle finger raised.

The image, which appeared to be printed rather than drawn on the tag, quickly made its rounds on social media, sparking a mix of reactions.

'What's going on with the produce tags flipping me off?' she asked on social media.

While the symbol looks like it’s been drawn on, it was ‘definitely printed on the tag’.

'Maybe someone's last day at the factory?' she speculated.

Some found humour in the situation, with comments ranging from 'I can't stop laughing' to 'That's exactly how I feel about red onions.'

Another said, ‘They'll probably make you cry.’

Others, however, were less amused, with one person suggesting that the labels should be reported as they were printed and not hand-drawn.

Another user found a stamp on Amazon that looked like the figure on the label, and they believed it was stamped by another shopper.

Some shoppers expressed concern over the appropriateness of the image, especially considering the wide range of customers, including children, who frequent the store.

'If you find these labels, please report them. They obviously came from the company because these are printed, not drawn on,' one shopper complained.

'Someone clearly making the most of their last day working for label printers,' another guessed.

'They clearly put a sticker over it, if you zoom in, you can tell,' a third theorised.

'Guessing someone got bored with a stamp,' a fourth added.

In a similar story, ALDI customers found a humorous mistake where milk was ‘discounted’ to a much higher price than usual.

The photo showing the incorrect price tags amused social media users. You can read more about the story here.

This just proves how useless ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE actually is in the digital world. The other day on Facebook there was a post with an African American woman giving an extremely detailed and explicit written description of how to make your man happy after coming home from work, it included putting honey in your mouth before giving oral sex to make it taste better, many sexual positions with lots of grinding movements and more. THIS WAS THERE FOR ALL TO SEE AND READ. On another stupid post, I replied the person was an idiot, and up pops a warning about "goes against our standards" I nearly fell off my chair laughing. 🤣 🤣 🤣

ALDI have actually explained this in a recent post. They changed suppliers and this was a "final gesture" from the old supplier after losing the contract.
For goodness sake people, it’s a sick yes SICK as in vomit world. In business they stoop that low, get a life.
