As the festive season approaches, major supermarkets across the country are bringing out the best holiday deals.

ALDI Australia just tapped into the sweet nostalgia of the 1990s by bringing back a classic treat just in time for Christmas.


ALDI brought their unique twist on the iconic Viennetta ice-cream cake—a staple of dinner parties and festive gatherings in decades past.

Dubbed the Entertainer ($6.99), the retailer's one-litre ice cream cake should take you on a trip down memory lane.

The Entertainer has elegant ripples of vanilla-flavoured ice cream interlaced with delicate slivers of chocolate.


Yet ALDI is not just reviving the classic.

They brought in a contemporary twist by introducing a new flavour to cater to modern palates.

The new variant has a combination of hazelnut and chocolate-flavoured ice cream.

It is then finished off with a generous dusting of chocolate and crushed hazelnuts.


ALDI has been committed to providing an affordable yet luxurious Christmas experience, and introducing the Entertainer is part of that strategy.

According to their shoppers' feedback form, about 50 per cent of Australians look for quick and easy dining options during the holidays.

About 45 per cent of those surveyed expressed a preference for spending quality time with family rather than being busy in the kitchen.

With this in mind, the retailer has doubled its 'Christmas freezer range'.

ALDI's Shopping Expert, Kylie Warnke, talked more about the freezer range.

'We are hoping to make the day feel a little lighter on prep with our biggest ever frozen range, so there's something for everyone,' she explained.

'Adding these frozen goodies to your Christmas menu will take the stress out and put you back into the fun with your family and friends!'


In addition to the Entertainer, ALDI also brought back their famous lobster tails—a premium offering that kept selling out last year.

Priced at $34.99, these lobster tails include a garlic butter glaze and may last up to 12 months in the freezer.

Shoppers could also expect a variety of seafood treats, from prawn balls to premium scallops wrapped in maple-flavoured bacon.

The entire Christmas seafood collection, along with the Entertainer ice-cream cakes, are now available in ALDI stores.

Avoid the holiday rush and catch these limited-edition products in advance for a stress-free holiday prep!
