Surprise, surprise, surprise! Looks like the kids aren’t the only ones bound for a blast this Easter – adults can now start preparing the big guys’ table because ALDI has announced the return of a cult favourite, the Hot Cross Bun Gin.
The retail giant revealed that Manchester Drinks Co’s Hot Cross Bun Gin Liqueur will be back on the supermarket’s shelves as a part of its upcoming Special Buys range.

However, ALDI Australia Spirits and Beer Buying Director, Paul Handley, warned that shoppers will need to move quickly if they want to get their hands on the popular buy.
“After becoming an instant favourite with our customers when it was introduced last year, we’re very excited to be bringing back our limited-edition Manchester Drinks Co’s Hot Cross Bun Gin Liqueur for Easter again in 2022,” Handley said.
“Like hot cross buns though, it’s not sticking around forever so eager customers should pick up their bottle soon.”
Last year, shoppers took to social media to rant about how difficult it was to spot the bottles in stores.
“I’ve been looking but haven’t got my hands on one yet!” one Facebook user shared in a gin appreciation group.
Another added: “This is so unfair, I’ve looked everywhere.”
The Hot Cross Bun Gin Liqueur is a delicious combination of nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger flavours. That’s right, the rich, decadent, taste of a hot cross bun blended together in a bottle.
If you’re not a big fan of alcoholic drinks but you’re curious whether or not this is worth a shot (pun possibly intended), this one is for those who don’t mind a sweet taste similar to the fruity range that the store releases around Christmas time.
Paul Handley insists it’s to die for.
“Infused with all the delicious flavours of a hot cross bun, this rich and fruity gin liqueur is a great twist on a classic festive favourite and the perfect way to spice up your Easter festivities. Enjoy it on the rocks, over ice or with a dash of soda.”
The Hot Cross Bun Gin Liqueur will be available starting March 30, for $19.99 a bottle. Cheers!
Seems like Christmas – we mean, Easter – is coming early again this year! What are you most looking forward to this Easter? Share it with us in the comments!
