We have an ACROD card displayed in our car and it enables us to park in car bays that display a wheelchair, this is justified because my 86 year old wife walks with a stick and a trolley because she is unable to walk very far. Just recently a Facebook post described how a woman was abused by a man when she parked in an invalid bay but she was not in a wheelchair, and a heated discussion took place. I always display the attached card in our front and rear screens to advise those ignorant people who stare at us when we WALK away from our car.
