I need to go to a funeral next week in Taree and I don't want to stay with family , can anyone recommend hotels not far from the station ? I'm catching a train from Sydney

Hello @Suzanne_rose! My condolences for the loss. I'm unfortunately unfamiliar with the area, but I hope I can help.

An inn called A Railway Lodge is only 170 metres away from the station according to Hotels.com. There's also another one called the Midlands Motel that's just over a kilometre away.

Hopefully someone more familiar who sees this can offer a suggestion!

Thank you , Railway lodge was one I just saw. I think it will be perfect. It was my stepmother, most of my side of the family are now in Taree
