A random act of kindness by a Woolworths staff member has made the rounds on social media after a customer shared the heartwarming encounter.
Perth customer Carly took to TikTok to share how Woolies team member Mansi Desai went out of her way to help the shopper with her order.
The shopper said she was close to tears when she found out that the staff member went over and above the call of duty when she made an "out-of-the-blue" home delivery to deliver some pots and pans that Carly ordered online.
The shopper explained that she was in self-quarantine in a "semi-empty house" with no cooking utensils, disabling her to prepare home-cooked meals.
She claimed that the Woolies app notified her that the order she placed for some kitchen equipment would take a little longer to deliver, leaving her disappointed and frustrated.
The TikTok video revealed that Mansi — who is a Store Manager at Woolworths Victoria Park in Perth — learned of Carly's dilemma and instantly went out of her way to hand-deliver the items that the shopper ordered to her home.
Mansi also gave the customer a bouquet of flowers and a kind note.

Carly said in the video: “If you are from Woolworths head office, please stop scrolling.”
“You have one of the most amazing employees ever."
“Bit of a back story, I’m currently self-quarantining in a semi-empty house that was a bit of an issue getting my furniture here."
“I’ve been pretty much living off takeaway and I was desperate for a home-cooked meal so I ordered some pots and pans."
“And yesterday when my online order arrived, the pots and pans weren’t there."
“Now only I would manage to do something like it, [but] I’ve clicked some weird feature where it’s coming from a different store and it could take a while to get to me."
“So then your lovely staff member said ‘You know what, we don’t have those particular pots and pans but you can come in store because we do have some pots and pans.’"
“Then I explained my unique situation and why I could not come in store to get the pots and pans."
“And that is the lovely Mansi said to me, ‘You know what? Don’t worry about it, we will get you your pots and pans.’"
“That in itself was beyond touching, but on top of that, she rocked up with a beautiful hand-written note and some flowers."
“I do not know this lovely lady, I am a stranger. But this meant the world to me."
“I am going to pay it forward, but what a beautiful person you are Mansi."
“I’m so excited to see you at my new local Woolies all the time ... I am beyond touched and I am going to be boiling up some broccoli in celebration."
“How lucky you are Woolworths to have such a beautiful person working for you.”

The store manager said that she did not think twice to help Carly after she heard her predicament.
Mansi told 7News: “Our Online Manager brought the situation to my attention on Monday, so I reached out to the customer and could tell she was quite distressed having to be in quarantine and not having access to the essentials she needed,” she said.
“When I heard her situation, I immediately wanted to help."
“We substituted her online order with items in stock in-store so the customer could use the kitchen supplies right away."
“The customer was ecstatic when I arrived at her doorstep. I wrote a letter to say we’re sorry for the inconvenience and to thank her for her patience."
“I added the flowers as a nice gesture as I understand how difficult it can be to quarantine at home, so I thought they would brighten up her day.”
Mansi also said that she did not expect that her random act of kindness would go viral, revealing that she was "overwhelmed" with the love she received from Carly and other TikTok users.
The store manager said: “When my friends sent the Tiktok video to me, I was quite overwhelmed and it was sweet of her to share.”
“It was a small act of kindness that I could do for the customer. I am glad we were able to help.”

Meanwhile, Woolworths Group Manager David Lannary confirmed that it was Mansi's first week as Store Manager when she did the sweet act.
Mr Lannary said: “We try to bring a little good to our customers every day and we’re glad to see Mansi has already taken such wonderful initiative in her first official week as Store Manager.”
“From handwritten notes to flowers or a box of chocolates, we love to see our teams go above and beyond for our customers to make their shopping experience extra special."
“We’re glad to see this customer enjoyed the hand-written note, flowers and cooking utensils and we’ll be sure to thank Mansi and the Victoria Park team this week.”
