A simple and super effective way to clean shower glass! And it works!

Shower glass is notorious for discoloration and calcium build-up that won't shift no matter what you do. My shower glass was pretty well covered and the usual shower cleaners didn't work. I found a simple answer to the problem. Believe it or not, super fine wire wool does the trick. Wire wool comes in various grades, the finest is '0000' and that's what I used, I rubbed down a small area at first and the result was amazing, it lifted the calcium marks clean off in seconds. Best of all it doesn't scratch. Most good hardware stores stock fine wire wool, and there are quite a few brands available, I happen to use one called SIFA which worked fine but I don't think the brand name will make a difference, it's the grade '0000' that matters. BTW it also works on balcony and swimming pool glass.

Hello any advice for the Rubber rim around the shower door l can’t seem to find anything that works to clean that area🙃

If you have the time and patience, use a paste of vinegar and baking soda and apply it with a scouring pad. Rub it on,leave a few minutes and wash it off. It should take all the mould and gunk off with it.
this also works well on the glass itself as well as removing gunk from around the stove. The vinegar cuts into any grease

I used to have the same problem in my previous house, then one day I realised that you can slide them off & took them into the laundry & scrubbed them off with soap & water or whatever you use. I hope you too can slide yours off.

Hi, I have used a few things, baking soda in white cleaning vinegar can be effective, you may have to give a it a few tries and it will depend on how bad it is in the first instance. There are some cream cleansers on the market but I don't think they're any better than the basic baking soda and white vinegar trick. Let me know if it works for you!
