A Reject Shop employee reveals how to save BIG and beat supermarket prices!

At the Seniors Discount Club, we're always searching for deals and savings that'll make your hard-earned budget go further.

That's why we were very excited to discover some insider secrets on saving a bundle by shopping at The Reject Shop instead of traditional supermarkets.

Would you believe, for example, that Oral B 3D White Whitening Emulsions, designed to spruce up your lovely smiles, costs a mere $6 at The Reject Shop while Woolworths is trying to take a bite out of us for $60 for the same product?

Even with sales, the best deal you'd find at Coles is $21 and $44.99 at Chemist Warehouse.

Now, as savvy shoppers, we understand the value of a dollar, and the difference here is not just some small change you might find under your couch cushions. We're talking about a whopping $54 discount!

Yvette, the mother of a helpful young Reject Shop employee, certainly couldn't believe it and felt compelled to spread the news to fellow shoppers.

'My daughter works for The Reject Shop, and it almost physically hurts her to see some of the prices at Woolworths. Here is an example that has us wondering why,' she said.

While we all love a good discount, this revelation left some people questioning how The Reject Shop offers such low prices, particularly for popular brand-name items.

As we've discovered, the secret is a combination of dedicated teamwork, savvy purchasing decisions, and a commitment to providing value to customers.

Kate Eshuys, Chief Operating Officer at The Reject Shop, explained this: 'We are a low-cost operator, and our team works closely with our suppliers to find amazing deals for our customers.'

What a great ethos. Ms Eshuys explained that they relish in finding a bargain as much as we do and work hard to pass those savings onto their customers, knowing that the cost of living can be a real hurdle for many Aussies.

Before you start doubting the quality of these pocket-friendly products, rest assured that all items fall within the boundaries set by the Australian Consumer Law, are within the use-by or best-before date, and come from brands familiar to Aussies.

Sometimes, some deals might be closer to the use-by date, but The Reject Shop is committed to only accepting deals with at least a three-month shelf life.

While we know that the Reject Shop stocks a variety of goods, perhaps you didn't know that they have an extensive range of health and beauty products. As Ms Eshuys enlightened us, 'From makeup and skincare to haircare and oral care, customers can find all the essentials and more in our health and beauty range—without breaking the bank.'

Key Takeaways

  • An employee from The Reject Shop revealed significant price differences between everyday items sold at The Reject Shop and traditional supermarkets.
  • The massive $54 price difference on an Oral B oral hygiene product compared to Woolworths has left hundreds of shoppers online stunned.
  • All products The Reject Shop sells comply with the Australian Consumer Law and are within the use-by or best-before date.

Members, the next time you're in for a bit of shopping, why not try The Reject Shop and see how much you can save? Choose savvy shopping over brand names; it's a switch that could see you save big.

Remember, it doesn't hurt to check The Reject Shop before heading to your regular supermarket. Maybe you could then splurge those savings on spoiling the grandchildren or perhaps even on a little treat for yourself.

We hope you, just like us, found this insider info helpful and exciting. Happy shopping, friends! If you have more shopping advice to share, leave them in the comments below!

I love the Reject shop, it is definitely on my Fortnightly shopping list. Best place for a number of items needed to keep an average home operating, at a cost well below the Big two. Even products for the Furry members of the family are better catered for at the Reject shop.

I started buying all my cards there a considerable time ago and my daughter was impressed and asked where I found them. She now shops there too and saving lots of money. It all adds up. We have started buying our dishwasher tablets there as well. Luckily they are nice and handy to us.

I think most people have been doing this for a while. Their lollies are definitely cheaper and the detergents and air fresheners are always a bargain.

I too shop at my local Reject Shop. But it is also important to really read labels. You will often find that the product has been made in/for an overseas market (in particular Thailand) and therefore may not be the same as the made for/in Australia product. This may not matter but I have noticed big differences in things such as shampoo and even lollies/chocolate. I'd say try things and decide what's right for you.

Thankyou Yvette. This is a real coup for anyone but possibly more so for Pensioners & unemployed.

I use the laundry liquid from Aldi, very cheap, gets the clothes clean and my husband likes the not too strong fragrance.
