A Newbie Here

Hello everyone,

Probably one of the best ways to describe me is to say that I'm curious, communicable, and analyse everything to death (or so I've been told by many).

Due to health reasons, in the mid-80s I decided to stop eating animal flesh. I'm not particularly strict about it, as I sometimes eat fish when we go out. (BTW, vegetarian is different from vegan—they don't eat any animal products, such as dairy, eggs, or honey, either.)

Grandmother of three: an adult, a teenager, and a newborn.

We live on the hills overlooking Parramatta river in the Inner West of Sydney.

Still thinking up businesses that will keep me occupied for as long as I'm capable of paying attention to them. Basically, I can't imagine full-on retirement.

I only recently accepted that I'm one of the "grey-haired brigade," so here I am :)

Hello @LilyanaM-Z! Welcome to the SDC, and thank you so much for joining us :D

I do love a detailed introduction, and yours is such a treat to read! I pretty much describe myself the same way, but would also add 'addicted to coffee' to the list

That's quite a nice and respectable choice with your food too! But I do wonder --- and I hope I don't come across as insensitive --- if you miss meat as you tasted it before? Or is it something you believe you can 100% go without at this point?

Oh, to have grandchildren at those stages of life must be so interesting! But I do imagine you'd spoil the eldest as much as the newborn :ROFLMAO:

I do hope you end up finding some inspiration here at our humble forum! Maybe in terms of keeping busy, you'd enjoy our Jokes, Fun, & Games forum a lot: https://seniorsdiscountclub.com.au/forums/jokes-fun-and-games.10/

And don't worry, a lot of members of the 'grey-haired brigade' are right here with us, and they are as young and spritely in wit and humour as ever!
