A little Spooky đź‘»

A homeowner in the US has unearthed an eerie object hidden under a dense layer of brush in her garden.
A fortnight ago, the owner was clearing the overgrown yard of her house in New England when she stumbled upon a tiny stone with three mysterious initials.
Curious, she took to Reddit to make sense of her find.
“Not sure if it’s a gravestone or some sort of property stone, and not sure what to make of it,” she wrote.

The homeowner shared a photo of the stone
The owner shared that she and her husband had recently moved into the property – a 250-year-old house. The eighteenth-century house borders onto a historic cemetery.
“The cemetery next door was here before the house, and now we are wondering if our house was built on the cemetery land originally,” she wrote.
Many people in the comments suggested that the mysterious stone may be a gravestone.
“Surveyor here and I’ve seen old stuff. That doesn’t look like any survey marker I’ve seen. I’m voting for an infant grave marker,” one person commented.

Several people suggested the object could be a footstone, which were historically used to mark the foot of a grave.
These markers were small in size and often bore the initials of the person interred.
The owner said she intends to keep a lookout for more stones as she continues clearing the garden.
“I’m going to see if I can find any more of this stone or any others this week,” she wrote.
Her property is not the first to come with a grave in the garden.
In the UK, a cottage was listed for sale earlier this year in a leafy pocket of Cornwall.
The listing noted that the late owner’s mother was buried in the garden, and that future buyers must allow the grave to remain.
Further north in the English county of Cumbria, a church came onto the market with a historic graveyard included.
The village churchyard featured in one of Britain’s best-known vampire legends.
Closer to home, a Victorian couple recently bought a church next door to one of Australia’s most famous graves: the final resting place of Ned Kelly.
The pair are hard at work transforming the 1950s church into a characterful ho
