In today's world, it's easy to get caught up in our own lives and forget about the kindness of others. But every now and then, we're reminded of the goodness of humanity.
Such was the case for one Facebook user, who witnessed a kind act at her local ALDI store.
The shopper saw a worker help a customer load a heavy item into her shopping cart, and then later saw the same customer struggling to fit the item into her car.
'After I finished my shopping and was heading towards my car, I saw the same lady again standing by her car realising the big box was not going to fit into her sedan,' the user wrote in her post on the Aldi Mums Facebook group.
She then added that another gentleman stepped in to help, offering to take the item home in his SUV.
The customer continued: 'A gentleman also noticed [the distressed shopper] and quickly went over to ask if she needed help getting it home as he had a big SUV.'
'The lady was overjoyed and was so thankful for his kind offer.'

The original poster was touched by the act of kindness, and it's clear from the comments on her post that others were too.
One user wrote: 'These stories are so inspiring. I have always tried to help if I could. Thank you to the lovely man, who helped and the other stories of aid. Makes you smile inside.'
'Good people are still out there,' another commented.
Others took the opportunity to share their similar encounters, with many saying that they were grateful for the help that strangers gave to them when they were struggling.
One person shared: 'This happened to me in summer at bunnings! I had a 2-year-old and a 6-month-old and our shell pool was not going to fit no matter how much I tried, a lovely gentleman took it home for me and I honestly think I’ll always remember how kind he was!'
'I brought a dryer from Aldi and was sure it would fit in the SUV. For the life of me I couldn't get it in the back,' another recalled.
'A man offered to drop it off for me but with both of us lifting and positioning the box it fitted perfectly. I find there are always good people willing to help.'
Several users shared how they helped other people who were in need of assistance.
One comment read: 'My hubby did this for a lady a few weeks back. She had a tiny car so he put it in his car and drove it to her house!'
'I also helped a couple, they bought a tv and couldn't fit it in the car. I had a Pajero, no problem, delivered it for them,' another claimed.
One mum said that her son-in-law even injured himself after he 'did a good deed today at Aldi helping a lady lifting 2 very heavy cabinets into her car and hurt his back.'
'Poor bugger now has to have some time off work but he has done it for the right reason.'
Another mum recalled the moment her two-year-old son threw a tantrum at the store and while no one helped her manage the situation at the time, another woman offered her some emotional support.
'My 2-year-old decided to have a screaming fit at Aldi this week,' the mum shared.
'Luckily I was almost finished packing so I high-tailed it out of there. Stopped past the doors and took a deep breath. Another mum gave me a hug on her way out.'
In a world where we're bombarded with negativity, stories like this help to restore our faith in humanity.
So next time you're out and about, take a moment to be kind to someone. You never know how much it may mean to them! Do you have any stories of unexpected moments of kindness? We’d love to hear them.
