As a teetotaler by choice I don't really get the lure of "cheat" or "replacement" drinks. Why not celebrate your abstinence with tea/coffee/coke/pepsi or my personal choice water. I decided years ago that I didn't need alcohol to have a good time or be one of the crowd, and haven't regretted my decision since.

Lyres premixed drinks get my vote. I love their Amalfi Spritz. It brings memories of the Aperol Spritz without any of the alcohol.

So well said.
Why do people spend a fortune to be seen holding elegant alcoholic beverage replacements, that cost a fortune, often more than the genuine article even?
Except the eggnog, because this is a drink that is traditionally both alcoholic and non alcoholic.
