A) Ostriches bury their heads in sand when afraid. This is not true; just a myth. They wouldn't be able to breathe if they did! In fact, they flatten themselves against the ground, and they also bury their eggs in the sand, both of which could have been mistaken for them burying their heads and this created the myth.
