10 of the most idiotic "life hacks" people have come up with!

Life can be hard sometimes, which is why it makes sense to have a few handy tricks up your sleeve to make things easier.
You live, you learn, and along the way, you might figure out a thing or two. Even so, learning is a lifelong pursuit and there are still a lot of clever strategies or hacks just waiting to be found.
The internet is often great for this, and we’re constantly astounded by some of the innovative time and money-saving techniques people share.
On the other hand, with so many ‘influencers’ out there competing for people’s attention, there’s also no shortage of… well, let's just say ‘overly creative’ tips for problems that might not actually exist.
That is why here in this article, we're featuring a photo gallery that was compiled by the website The Daddest revealing the various ways in which a few people have managed to find ‘solutions’ to problems that we’re not sure anyone actually has.
We're pretty sure you'll be surprised to see just how ‘creative’ people can be when they're looking for attention!

Turns out, you can actually drink AND drive! (And no, not the alcoholic kind of drinking, folks!) This one woman from the United States joined a few straws together so that she could drink her beverage ‘without risk’ while she was behind the wheel. What better way to rehydrate yourself when you’re heading down the freeway at 120 kilometres per hour? Sigh.
And speaking of ‘clever’, a different commuter stowed his smartphone in the back of his baseball cap so that he wouldn't have to hold it while he rode the bus. He does realise that’s what pockets are for, right?

Are you getting tired while you wait for your flight? You could just do what this traveller did: she used a trolley and several pieces of luggage to fashion a mattress for herself so that she could take a nap. Wow, uhhh that looks suuuuper comfortable.
To avoid ruining her pedicure while walking around in the bitter cold, one woman wore open-toed socks under her sandals. Well, this one might actually work, but it’s a bit of a crime against fashion. Might we suggest just waiting for her nail polish to dry next time?

Sometimes the zoom function in our phones isn't quite enough to get the job done. That's probably the reason why this one man put his binoculars up to his phone so that he could get a closer view of the action that was taking place on the pitch. We think they might work better if he just holds the binoculars directly up to his eyes though.
You're going somewhere outside the city, but you don't have a place to keep your toothbrush to keep it free from dirt and germs? Just use a regular-sized bottle of water as a temporary case. Or, you know, just put your toothbrush in a ziploc bag or bring a toothbrush case with you if you’re REALLY that worried, like this one from Kmart.

This one person wore microfiber socks while mopping to avoid leaving sole marks on the freshly cleaned floor. What a brilliant idea! Or just don’t mop yourself into a corner in the first place?
Blinds on a budget? This person shared that because they haven't purchased any curtains yet, in order to create blinds for their window, they had used several rolls of toilet paper. We’re all for DIY, but this feels a bit more like DI-WHY?

We've all heard that hot steam can remove even the most stubborn creases from a shirt. But what do you do if you don't have an iron? This person hung their shirt over boiling pans of water in the kitchen to steam it instead! Well, desperate times call for desperate measures, we suppose.
Are you sick and tired of misplacing your bobby pins? It turns out that all you need to do to keep your pins organised is to place a magnet in each of your drawers. Problem solved, eh? Actually, to be honest we kind of like this last one.
So what do you think, folks? Do you believe you'll be able to make use of these 'unusual' hacks, or do you find them to be more amusingly absurd than actually useful?
If you have any more creative (and actually usable…) life hacks, please share them in the comments section! You never know, we might actually use them!
If you're looking for more 'hacks' that are far more hilarious than useful, watch the video below!
