As many of you know, we here at the SDC love a good hack. From the kitchen to the bathroom and everything in between, a good hack can save you time, money and stress. What’s not to love?
Now we know you lot love a good hack too, and some of the ones you share are absolutely fantastic.
So today, we have decided to share with you, a list of the 10 hacks the internet deems ‘life changing’ so, enjoy!

Hard-boiled eggs may seem easy to cook but we all have a preference when it comes to how runny or cooked we like our yolk.. So, Twitter user @mtlnd recommended the following cooking time to achieve the perfect hard-boiled eggs every time. Just refer to this simple and easy chart whenever you have a hankering for a boiled egg to ensure it really hits the spot.
2. How to protect yarn from cats

Like something out of a cartoon, our cats love getting into the yarn. For whatever reason, they have a unique fascination when it comes to a bit of string rolled into a ball. While this may be no big deal for some, for those who love knitting, it can be detrimental. However, thanks to this hack, your yarn is safer than ever.
Reddit user @stinksknots said that his wife keeps the yarn inside a plastic jar with a pierced lid so their cats won’t bother her when she knits. Sorry kitty cats, but unfortunately, this yarn is not for you!

Now with this one, we always advise that if possible, you seek the advice of a professional, to avoid harming your furry friend. However, in an emergency, this guide may be exactly what you need to stop your dog from choking.

Reddit user @TheCupsOfWater recommended this simple hack using four paper clips to create a chain, allowing the strings of your mask to not put pressure on your ears and preventing them from giving you blisters. Ensure however that the face mask is still tight
6. How to extract a splinter
