Steve Scully, who claimed to have worked as a telecommunications specialist for almost 7 years in the disgraced financier and convicted child sex offender's Caribbean island in the early 2000s, spoke to 7NEWS Spotlight to reveal his alleged encounter with Prince Andrew.

The retiree recalled an encounter with Prince Andrew and Virginia Giuffre as he spoke from his tropical home in the US Virgin Islands.

“I wish I could have asked her if she was OK,” he remorsefully said.

“Maybe it was because it was Prince Andrew."

“Maybe it was because it was Jeffrey Epstein’s island."

“Maybe it was because we were continuously told, ‘You don’t interact with any of the guests’."

“I don’t know. But I didn’t do that, and I wish I would have.”

The retiree said that for the past two decades, he has been abiding by a strict code of silence maintained by Epstein’s close friends and employees.

However, he said that it is his duty as a father of three daughters to refuse to keep silent any longer and to reveal what he claims he witnessed on the island including the way young girls were treated there.

Rumoured Prince Andrew encounters

Scully claims that among the rich and famous people he encountered on the island, Prince Andrew is allegedly one of them, and Scully alleges he saw Prince Andrew engaging in sexual foreplay with the then-17-year-old girl Virginia Giuffre by a swimming pool on the island.

The former Epstein employee said: “He removed her bathing suit top and then started grinding against her and grabbing her ass."

“They were kissing as well. That’s when I had words with him. I said, ‘Hello, your Highness.’ And he said, ‘No, it’s Andrew.’"

“I said, ‘I didn’t know exactly how I was supposed to address you, but I’m Steve the phone man.’"

“He laughed at that (and) said, ‘Well, Steve the phone man, at least you work in a really beautiful place.’"

“I said, ‘Yeah, the island is beautiful, without a doubt’.”

Accusations and lawsuits

Giuffre, who now lives in Australia, has filed a civil lawsuit against Prince Andrew whom she accuses of sexually abusing her on three occasions when she was just 17.

She claimed that she was a victim of Epstein's sex trafficking scheme, where she was forced to have sex with the Duke of York in London, New York, and on his island in 2001.

Prince Andrew has consistently denied the allegations and has sought to strike out Giuffre's lawsuit, claiming he has never even met her.

Scully has agreed to give sworn evidence against Prince Andrew if Giuffre's civil action proceeds to trial in New York next year, following his travel to Washington DC last month where he was set to be deposed by her legal team.

Scully has also said that he received no financial incentives from anyone for coming forward as a witness and has not been in contact nor has met Giuffre since the day he saw her on Epstein's island almost 20 years ago.

He said that his reason for coming forward is the fact that the alleged encounter has haunted him and that he feels guilty for his failure to protect a young girl in need.

“Virginia was standing there. She kind of looked like she was like a deer caught in the headlights of the car,” Scully says.

“I wish I’d asked her if she was OK."

“If I were to see her again today, I would apologise to her for that, because I honestly think I should have said, ‘Are you alright? Because if you’re not, hey, I’ll take care of whatever needs to be taken care of to get you into an alright situation’.”

Scully's account has the potential to devastate the royal family as his testimony counts as new probable evidence that may prove the long-running sex abuse allegations against Prince Andrew and Jeffery Epstein.

I believe his account on of what he saw. Prince Andrew needs to be brought to justice for his actions.

Twenty years is a long time to wait for your conscience to finally kick in... ahhh .. but it's not about money he said...... ok He paid his own airfare and living expenses in the USA. I think Prince Andrew is a proper sleaze, but Guthrie also had sex with other guests of Epsteins, so why isn't she suing them as well? Profile wins out every time I suppose.. sigh. :censored:

When the Americans start chasing their own criminals and paedophiles down, instead of deflecting attention to other countries, they'll be on to something..... its well known old Donald Trump was at those Epstein parties, and he would have known all the local gossip about the local celebrity.... Whoever Prince Andrews advisors were about who he should and shouldn't mix with in a foreign country was certain not doing a very good job!! And lots face it... the rich and famous use prostitutes at parties (just look at Charlie Sheen!!) So even if Andy had a bit of "entertainment" at the party, he probably thought it was a person of age and all bought and paid for....he's not the one giving the party, they let Epstein hang himself (or ensured he was hung) as you can imagine the huge list of politicians and American celebrities and rich and powerful people were on his lists!!!!! But they want to just focus on one foreigner....yeah...I think they need to clean shop first!!

Let's not forget Clinton, Gates and ALL the others who attended those parties. 17 is not so young you don't know what's going on. I don't believe her version of events. I doubt any of the guests were asking for birth certificates. 'The Washington Age of Consent is 16 years old. The New York Age of Consent is 17 years old. In the United States, the age of consent is the minimum age at which an individual is considered legally old enough to consent to participation in sexual activity.' So, she was old enough to consent, NOT A CHILD. End of story.
