“Look away!”: Facebook users slam Woolworths shopper after she accused the supermarket of “DEGRADING” Christmas with their “DISGUSTING” product
A Woolworths shopper has faced backlash after she demanded the supermarket to remove an "offensive" Christmas product from its shelves.

The shopper, who shared her sentiments on Facebook, said that Woolworths "degraded" the spirit of Christmas by selling rolls of festive toilet paper as part of its Easy Christmas Gifting guide.

The $3 novelty toilet paper features the words "Merry Christmas" around the roll and is designed with an array of festive patterns.

The customer said that she was "disgusted" with the fact that Woolworths would sell such a thing.

“I’m disgusted and offended by the ‘Merry Christmas’ toilet roll that is in your current catalogue,” she wrote.

“I really think this is a very poor (and offensive) inclusion of your novelty items."

“To think, the reason we celebrate this festivity is degraded with this offensive item."

“Please remove these from your shelves and supply.”

The shopper's post went under scrutiny by other Facebook users, with many pointing out that nothing was inappropriate about the toilet paper.

One user wrote: “Look away if you are offended! People like to gift novelty items geez what a Karen!”

“Too many Karens to poke a stick at these days, hey,” added another.

A third wrote: “After a massive Christmas lunch, I think they come in very handy. I am sorry though that you chose to be offended instead of just walking by.”

One more added: “They are not going to remove it, because one person takes offence. Grow up. It is a novelty gift.”

Others expressed their keenness to get their hands on the Christmas toilet paper.

"I'm buying it!" one person wrote.

It is understood that Woolworths is taking the shopper's toilet paper feedback into consideration.

I think it's fun. I tried to buy some at Woolies but they'd sold out so lots of other people must think it's fun too. But having said that, I'm not religious.

I stopped attending formal church a short while ago because I thought there was too much man-made ritual, such as repeated genuflexion and kissing crosses. There were also unreasonable prayer-requests to God, such as "save the world" and "re-direct some church leaders"; these requests are akin to asking God to go back on His promise of Free Will.
However I do object to direct insults to Religion and the Religious such as has been perpetrated by the Toilet Roll in Question - very poor taste indeed!

There are still those who would put skirts on piano and table legs they are so easily offended. I must say I have been to Woolies and had not even noticed them. Mind you, I was not looking for stuff to get offended about. Each to their own I say but surely there are bigger things in the world to get riled up about?

I LOVE IT. If people are offended just walk on by and leave it to those that appreciate the humour. I for one will buy it ( hope my store has it) and I have no Christmas tree or decorations.

I will be trying to buy a roll (or 2) before Christmas. I think they are great. My grandchildren love those toilet rolls. I used to be able to buy them at gift shops years ago. That poor lady must not have any sense of humour Merry Christmas

... there are gigs and gigs. Sadly this one does not belong to 'religion family'. This imagine this type of fun where Islam is involved? Woolworth, if you don't want to loose heaps of customers - remove it!

But not everyone is religious! If you dont like it, then just ignore it!
... so why do you take 'days off' at this time of the year? Why do you attend Christmas Parties? Poor soul, you must be so lonely and lost in pursuing NWO orders.

What reactions if the supermarkets sell toilet paper with these cheery greetings: "Happy Chanukka", "Happy Ramadan", "Happy Ramzan", "Happy Eid-al-Fitr", and "Happy Mawlid-al-Nabi".
