‘Nooo, I loved those!’ – Find out why Aussie supermarkets are suddenly scrapping this popular snack

You may have noticed that one of your favourite confectionery aisle treats is no longer available on supermarket shelves. And we’re here to tell you why.

So, chocolate lovers, brace yourselves – Cadbury has just confirmed that one of its beloved treats will no longer be available at Aussie ANY supermarkets.

We all have our favourite snacks that we love to enjoy from time to time, especially when we’re relaxing at home in front of the TV.

But sometimes, those snacks can unexpectedly disappear from store shelves without any warning – leaving us feeling confused and more than a little disappointed.

Unfortunately for Cadbury fans, that’s exactly what has happened with the company’s Sesame Bar.

We’re sure many of you enjoyed munching on one of these Sesame Bars every now and then. The alluring sweetness coupled with a slight crunch from the sesame seeds made these treats hard to pass up. However, this bar isn’t exactly a crowd favourite according to Cadbury.

The European-owned confectionary said – like many manufacturers – it regularly reviews its product range, and decided to stop making the Sesame Bars ‘because of low sales’.

A spokesperson from Cadbury stated: ‘The decision was made recently to discontinue the 45g Europe Sesame Bar.’

‘We’re always reluctant to retire products and we’re sorry for any disappointment this may cause,’ they continued.

Russ Eats, a popular food blogger on TikTok, shared the sad news with his millions of followers.

‘We thought it was supply issues with sesame seeds, which has been happening, but no, it’s got the axe,’ he explained.

His followers – who were also fans of the Sesame Bar – expressed their disappointment in the comments.

‘Noooo, they’re so good,’ one user wrote.

Another tagged their friend in the comments section and said: ‘I’m crying.’

‘Sesame Bar is the greatest…what a sad day,’ a third wrote.

Russ added that the Jupiter Bar, which was also manufactured by Cadbury, had been given the boot too.

‘Two of the big Europe four, the Jupiter Bar and the Sesame Bar, are now gone. In my opinion, those two are best. But we still have the Honey Nougat and the Summer Roll,’ he said.

Some were quick to voice out their anger, with a couple of people even suggesting a ‘riot’ in the comments.

‘If they get rid of the Summer Roll, then we will riot,’ said the upset user.

‘Never forgive, never forget. They took our Jupiter Bar from us,’ another chimed in.

While others shared that they saw some stocks in stores recently, and suggested that people should stock up before the bars run out completely.

I used to make a chocolate Mousse cake with Cadbury Milk Dark chocolate as it was not too sweet and not too bitter and then they discontinued this one as well. Golden Circle discontinued their fruit salad and the one they replaced it with comes from New Zealand and we know that they don't have the stringent laws as far as food goes and it's not the same in Trifles

What staggers me about Cadbury’s idiot decisions is that Cadbury seems to hv completely missed the fact that for nearly TWO YEARS we hv been Locked Down by an ignorant State Labor govt, so there hv been NO meetings, social gatherings, family get-together, church services, morning or afternoon tea groups, where people normally purchase the mixed BISCUIT Assortment packs from ARNOTT’S, and so many of the Sesame bars and other highly popular “eat treats” now being discontinued!
Sales fell bcz no one was allowed to go out and buy them!
Cadbury’s and ARNOTT’S are clearly very short-sighted and dumb as a box of rocks!
