Are you speeding? This massive change in speed cameras could cost you a fortune!

I’ve been caught many a time. Now I use cruise control everywhere. It’s easier this way. I avoid speeding at all cost.

Heartbreaking loss: Woman loses $50,000 after online boyfriend disappears

Red flag if the victim is told what to tell the bank. Honestly why would you send money to someone you’ve never met. Desperation is no excuse to stupidity. I can’t feel sorry for these people. There’s so many warnings against these scammers. I’m alone and I would NEVER fall for these creeps. I...

Fan-favourite burger chain enters into administration

I live in Adelaide and the one in my suburb hasn’t been there very long. I remember when it was being built. I’ll have to give it a go in case anything happens to it.

Talk show host Oprah Winfrey rushes to the hospital due to health complications

Oprah has always been a yo yo dieter. I don’t think if how she loses weight and gains again is ever healthy. If your eating habits are not good and you constantly need pills to get your weight down then it can’t be doing your body and health any good in the long term. This has been going on for...

Senior swindles $400K by telling ‘very sophisticated’ lies about cancer, family tragedy

I think greed takes over if these people think they’ll get more money out of it. I’m talking about the victims and stupidity goes out the window. As for Varas the sentence isn’t long enough. To give thousands of dollars to someone like this is crazy. Now they’ve lost it all. Not worth handing it...

Proposed bill aims to fine businesses and individuals up to $25,000 for refusing cash payments

I absolutely prefer cash. I’m 70 and old school. I take out enough for the week for shopping, petrol and any other things I might like. Then I know that that’s my limit for the week. I don’t believe in tapping the card. Too many scammers out there and how many overspend using card. I also save...

    Facebook users beware.

I among I’d say hundreds of people caught with a scam company “Sterling Vitamins”. Sent capsules not gummy’s and even though I was sent a cancellation form stating all shipping and billing was cancelled, it wasn’t. Sent the goods back( I had to pay) got my money back. A lot of people haven’t and...

Do you know about the 'shady' fee for using cash at Australia Post?

It’s greed at it’s best. I’m old school I like using cash. I take out a certain amount from the bank each week and I can keep tabs on what I’m spending. Certain bills are automatically paid through my bank. Food shopping and anything else I pay cash. What if my trolley is full and the eftpos...

The Duchess of York faces a new major health crisis

True. I’m 69 now and back in my teens I was out in the backyard with reef oil probably cooking myself with the ad on the radio saying “ Time to turn? So you won’t burn “every half hour. With the sun seeming stronger now, people are still out in it at the beach baking themselves not taking any...

Gone by year’s end? Coles shopper shares self-service checkout warning, retail giant responds

This is great. I’d be in on this. “What sign, I didn’t see any sign”.

Gone by year’s end? Coles shopper shares self-service checkout warning, retail giant responds

I definitely prefer cash. Government wants to know everything about us. It’s so wrong. I take enough cash out for the week and use that. If I was forced to use my card everywhere, I’m sure I’d start spending more than I wanted. I like to put $1,50c,20c10c spare change in a jar and when it’s full...

Investigation launches after police use taser and pepper spray on elderly man

I agree this is two elderly people now. The police training needs to be stepped up. What if he died too. He could have had a heart condition. An independent enquiry should be done. Leave tasers out of it.
