Shocking wedding rules that infuriated guests–are they too harsh?

I don’t like being told what to do at the best of times and I would certainly take umbrage to these 15 wedding “rules”. I wouldn’t make a big deal of it though... I just wouldn’t bother attending.

‘Is this correct?’: Coles clarifies ‘free’ scanning policy loophole

I would’ve kept it… not said anything to the attendant. If someone is silly enough to leave their $15 change in the money slot then it’s finders keepers

‘Is this correct?’: Coles clarifies ‘free’ scanning policy loophole

More likely the “charity” is their social club fund 🤨

‘This is a national emergency’: ‘Shortage’ of iconic Aussie product leaves shoppers desperate for answers

I think that’s another sneaky, deceptive tactic from the major supermarkets. Take away an old favourite staple product for a period of time and then reintroduce it with a spike rise in price. Grow your own beetroot folks. Cook it yourself - you’ve not tasted anything as delicious as fresh...

Discover the $3.50 secret that can easily clean multiple items at home

Another use for denture tabs is to run one through your espresso coffee machine when the line needs cleaning. Denture tabs are a much cheaper option to commercial coffee machine tablets or liquid, which can cost up to $15.

'Absolutely ridiculous': Woolworths customer rants over pint-sized $12 buy

I remember when a Woolworths roast chicken was $7.90. They were huge and moist and delicious. Now, they’re grossly overpriced, overcooked and overrated. Sometimes I think how lovely it’d be to get a roast chook, but I wouldn’t waste $12 on one. It’s almost a luxury item these days.

Aussies’ uproar over Iced VoVo biscuits: ‘Boy was I disappointed’

I bought a packet of Iced VoVo way back in 2021. They were small and tasted like sh*t, not at all like the delicious biscuit I remember throughout my life. It was like they’d been made by another company, yet branded Arnotts. I was so disgusted at the time and I don’t waste money on Arnotts...

What's a childhood fear that you conquered as an adult?

As a child and indeed until I was in my late 20s I was terrified of the dark. Growing up in the 1950s in a small NSW coastal town we had no septic or sewer toilets. Our toilet was about 30ft up the back path and at night it would be pitch black outside. I used to whistle as loudly as I could to...

Another supermarket item just got more expensive, and shoppers are NOT happy!

Coles sells Pauls Double Thick Custard for $5.30. Woolworths are ripping people off to the tune of $6.80 for the same item. Coles has this custard marked as “Special” on their app but I’ve been buying it for a couple of months now and the price hasn’t gone up.

Unveiling the best and worst laundry detergents–could yours be on the list?

I use Dynamo and wouldn’t consider using any other laundry detergent. I buy it on special and it’s gentle and effective on everything I wash.
