Joke The SDC ANZAC Day Dawn Service: Jokes from the Trenches of the ANZACs

Thanks for the memories again! My sister in law's 2nd husband rode in the Charge at Beersheba and survived to regularly lead the Anzac Day procession on a horse in Albany WA. A lovely old man and a great brother-in-law whom I remember well from the early 1980s.

    MOM'S DINER

I have a friend who wears a cap to save others embarrassment. His bald head is covered by scabs from skin cancers, and skin grafts. I know which I prefer when eating with him in a restaurant or at home. I don't like the practice of "permanent" cap wearing if unnecessary, but how can one tell...

My doctor often runs late, but he is very thorough, and I can't complain because he often spends longer than normal treating my problems. GPs are under great pressure generally, and not compensated super well for their expertise. I'm happy to wait for his attention, every time!

Australia inches towards 'cashless future' as currency notes decline for the first time in nearly six decades

I wonder how the Pokies will work without the recent changes to Cash (notes) input. Are we going to need an app on our phones? And the machines needing a card reader?

Is going cashless taking away your freedom? Find out how businesses face consumer boycotts

About 20 + years ago , my wife and some friends joined me for a beautiful dinner at a French Restauraunt in Walkerville SA, only to find that they only accepted CASH not Credit Cards! However, they allowed us to leave without payment on the understanding that we would pay cash within the next...
