A bit like supermarkets, utility providers, phone/internet providers & probably many other big business/wealthy companies, politicians, court system, etc! Working class have no hope of getting ahead when there's so many legalised sharks robbing us blind at every opportunity & no one prepared...

NSW is again cleaning up after major floods. Are we veering towards the collapse of insurability?

Insurance is not BECOMING UNAFFORDABLE, IT IS ALREADY UNAFFORDABLE to so many households/low income working people Just another nail in the coffin to becoming a 3rd world country

Retired but still working? Here’s what you need to know about how it affects your Age Pension

I'm not pension age yet & still enjoy working & haven't had to deal with Clink thank goodness, but I'm absolutely dreading it - not just due to the complexity alone, but because if I chose to continue to work after 67yo I don't trust the Clink reporting system (I'm hearing so many stories about...

Retired but still working? Here’s what you need to know about how it affects your Age Pension

It should not be like this! Pension should be adequate, just like it once used to be! Older generation tax payers shouldn't be punished for govt mismanagement & waste! Seems we paying more & more tax & other levies, fees, charges, etc (silent expenses) & get less & less (or next to nothing...

Renters are torn over decisions about their rented property. Are you facing the same dilemma, too?

I've lived regionally most of my life & prices have soared but blaming covid is a cop out, - lack of ssupply because of demand pushes up rentals/property values & 500,000 new immigrants per year (since covid) need a lot of places to live! Current govt has caused this housing issue & now expect...

These homes are becoming a top choice for seniors! Would you live here?

Denvelopes marketing tactics, the more they sell, the wealthier the developers become! I couldn't think of anywhere worse to live (unless it was in China) I'm staying in my meagre old $400k home in a country town near the sea til I turn up my toes thanks

Retiring But Not Relaxing: Australia’s Age Pension Maze

Agree, tho I'm certainly not a conspiracy theorist! But even if I wasn't sharing my opinions during covid for fear of that label, I didn't have to believe what the masses believed & now I just sit back & watch the outspoken ones back track post covid, especially in Vic where the debt from it...

Hackers breach 184 million accounts—act now to protect yours

Apparent I read somewhere (possibly here in SDN) that apparently in some other countries there are major penalties for companies not doing enough to protect customers data sufficiently & that is why Australia is a target for scammers/hackers

Hackers breach 184 million accounts—act now to protect yours

Retiring But Not Relaxing: Australia’s Age Pension Maze

Can't help wondering if the govt's lack of assistance these times (like huge land tax increases, fire levies & other taxes, immigration numbers, failing Medicare system, food prices at supermarkets increasing sharply & nothing done about it, etc) is all part of their plan to sneakily try to...

‘Ludicrous and unfair’: Older workers speak out on retirement age changes

Disgraceful! They are already doing enough damage with land tax & fire/emergency services levy greedy money grab in Vic! The national debt is the result/fault of careless government, not the fault of 67yo+ prospective retires! And of course these careless, greedy pollies won't apply the same...

Energy providers use deceptive tactics to raise household bills

No surprise when now times it seems there's no consequences for anyone ripping off anyone else! Thieving doesn't seem to be a crime in Australia any more, no matter how you go about it, least of all when you're a big business thieving from unsuspecting victims ( "customers") And even Royal...

Main Roads WA cops criticism after rest stop near Albany bulldozed

I travel frequently & use rest stops in many locations & believe the majority of Aussies are tidy. It's frustrating that minority control the outcome once again! International travellers don't give a crap about our environment & larger immigration numbers exacerbating these problems
