‘I felt she was picking on me’: Why one shopper’s routine purchase turned into a nightmare

Some of us don’t have the option of not shopping at Coles or Woolworths Ian. It’s nothing to do with having too much money either, it’s simply a matter of having nowhere else to go. IGA are okay for somethings but are getting way too expensive.

New mobile phone laws could hit you with fines of up to $1,200—are you ready for the penalties?

So how do you know that they’re a total distraction if you haven’t experienced one yourself? Our budget didnt stretch far enough for a BMW or Mercedes, we both prefer Japanese made cars anyway, but our new one does have a rather large screen which we both find rather amazing. It really isn’t a...

‘I felt she was picking on me’: Why one shopper’s routine purchase turned into a nightmare

Maybe the problem was the screenshot of the card, after all you wouldn’t take a screenshot of a credit card & expect to use it. Why didn’t her boyfriend give her the actual card?

‘I felt she was picking on me’: Why one shopper’s routine purchase turned into a nightmare

My husband often uses my Woolworths card, especially if he’s used his discount & I haven’t. He’s well known in the store & does get special treatment, probably due to having only one eye, whereas I rarely venture into an actual store. I always give him the actual card, so it’s no surprise that...

Is this 'people power' at work? Major bank reverses initial decision over regional branches

We do our banking online so don’t usually need to visit our bank but we used a bank cheque to pay for our new car, apparently it’s clears immediately whereas a direct transfer takes up to 3 days, so it’s good that our credit union still operates in the city. Most of my friends prefer to do their...

Campsite cleared with one hour’s notice sparks backlash

No the government wouldn’t use the money for anything else, but the state will be in so much debt because of it that there will be no money for anything else for a long, long time. The premier, of course keeps assuring us that the costs will not blow out and he won’t spend a cent more than the...

Campsite cleared with one hour’s notice sparks backlash

Or in Tasmania it’s ”we need to have a multimillion roofed stadium so we can have our first AFL team‘, never mind the homeless or our aging hospitals. A lot of tasmanians aren’t particularly happy about the stadium but our government knows best, apparently.

Mystery camera appears on Aussie roadside and drivers say: ‘It won’t be good’

Speed cameras are of no interest to me regardless of whether they’re in full view or partially hidden. I usually use cruise control because I know how hard it is to always stay under the speed limit. I’ve never been fined for speeding but I do find it difficult to stay on or under 50 or 40...

New mobile phone laws could hit you with fines of up to $1,200—are you ready for the penalties?

I thought that having a rather large screen in our new car would be distracting but it isn’t. I simply activate whatever settings I need & then don’t even look at it while driving. Ted has his mobile connected, while I simply ignore mine, I’ll return calls later.

Epic car park standoff stuns onlookers: 'Grandma is not giving up'

We constantly observe bad driving & behaviour in car parks which is totally annoying but in this particular instance I think that I would have driven around the other vehicle. Sometimes it simply isn’t worth the hassle. It’s a matter of picking your battles. Not all terrible car parks behaviour...

Eating THIS could slash your risk of colon cancer—discover the potent diet!

Maybe, but I think it’s the constant tests that are getting to her. Last week it was an MRI because, she has an aneurysm behind her left eye, which is slowly pushing the eye out & it’s too dangerous to operate, the week before it was another UTI & hers get really bad and it just goes on & on...

Eating THIS could slash your risk of colon cancer—discover the potent diet!

Why are most medical tests so painful & horrible? My poor friend, who has dementia and a lot of other problems, has had so many painful tests that she really can’t take anymore. It’s making me so sad.

Is this supermarket finally coming to your state? This plan could transform locals' shopping experience

Quit knocking Nick McKim, he’s one of the good guys even if he’s a Green. Where does LNP get their money from if not taxpayers, or do they have a secret trust fund?

Is this supermarket finally coming to your state? This plan could transform locals' shopping experience

Me neither Jash. I do love Hobart but not driving down just to shop at Aldi, we do venture down from Launceston occasionally for a break so might go then, but Aldi said they have no intention of ever coming here.

'It will come back eventually...right?': Comedian shares massive financial loss within 10 minutes

Our super is low risk so we have lost a small amount but my son & brother have both suffered substantial losses. My son is early forties so isn’t too worried but my brother is mid sixties so he’s a bit gloomy. He said he might have to work until he’s 90! I know everything fluctuates but Trump...

'We were a little surprised': Experts explain why your allergies might be worse than ever

I’ve noticed that a few of us in Tassie seem to be sneezing & coughing for much longer than what used to be considered normal hay fever season. I have allergy triggered asthma more than hay fever but it is rather inconvenient, I can’t go anywhere without out my puffer.
