This $806 mistake could cost you next time you're at the beach—learn what NOT to do!

Maybe I grew up in a different reality, in a country where people learn to be responsible and take the consequences of their actions, instead of constantly blaming others ... "the council should have put a sign up here, not 2 m away where I couldnt see it" is one of my favourites. Then jumping...

This $806 mistake could cost you next time you're at the beach—learn what NOT to do!

I think if ALL dog owners were responsible and doing the right thing (socialise their dogs, train them PROPERLY, clean up after them, etc) we woukd need much less rules (and fines). I m a pet lover, have a dog, am pet sitting all kinds of dogs, and can only say: the dogs as such woukd not be a...

This is about an extremely high surcharge on a card purchase. so why are we talking about someone buying a 4 mio property? Did he pay via tap and go and was charged an extra 16%? ($640000!!)

Avoid $410 fine with this surprising traffic law most drivers ignore

I was just about to write something similar. Actually, when I learned to drive we were told to accelerate when overtaking another vehicle so we woukd be back in the proper lane asap! I think it s a lot safer to speed for say 2 minutes than to try and get past another vehicle for 30 minutes...

Princess Anne faces memory loss after home accident

Memory loss after a head trauma is quite common, so I hope the media wont turn it into some kind of dementia! As for Princess anne: I hope she gets the rest she needs and deserves and makes a full recovery! She has been working hard amongst very stressful times (death of her mother, cancer of...

'What's the deal?': Ruffled tradie questions hardware store’s pet policy

Being originally from Europe where you can take your dogs almost everywhere (shops, restaurants, public transport) it always surprises me how much of a problem they seem to be here. I dont think more people get bitten or contract illnesses in Europe than they do here, but maybe they behave...

Amazon Prime Video increases subscription fees by $2.99

That s weird! last time I wanted to cancel they contacted me with a better offer... will have to try again! The other thing is: I use Prime not only for streaming, but I quite often buy from Amazon (not only books, but camping, pet gear etc). As a 0rime member you get free delivery and often...

State government deploys new safety measures as road toll incidents rise

I think the NSW way of advising of speed cameras (mobile or fixed) defeats the purpose! as someone else pointed out: drivers see the sign, slow down, go past the camera and speed up again straight away! If they wouldnt know where they are they might generally be more careful and responsible...

King Charles’ portrait reigns over social media for a ‘creepy’ reason

Though I wouldnt put it up (I m not into, portraits) and I find the Red too dominant I think the actual portrait is very good! The artist seems to have captured the character, and the butterfly (Monarch butterfly?) seems to stand for royalty, but also for the Kings passion for nature. Organic...

My relatively cheap Oppo mobile warns me when I get certain calls by showing a banner "This call was identified as a possible scam call". So I dont answer. If it s a real person they can always leave a voicemail and I will call back!
