I wonder if "Covid taxes" & govt's allowing big business, supermarkets, utilities companies, telcos, insurance companies, etc to rip off customers/consumers (& thus forcing an increase in cost of living) was the govt's way of tightening the purse strings & forcing people to keep working beyond...

Scumbags, probably not the only big business getting away with ripping customers off these days! Yer victims may get refunded but what about compensation for the loss in returns, etc

So many experts on here blaming the victims! Never know when their turn is coming, it's not difficult to get scammed these days! A little kindness & understanding would be better than being the smart arse to them!

Glad to say I don't pay for any streaming services/subscriptions at all (just phone plan & internet), all such a rip off! Hell I've only just bought my very first smart tv 2wks ago! Not sure why coz I don't really even watch TV much at all (too busy)! Must admit I do like the free YouTube...

Sounds like a system based on trust, scarey stuff in a world of scams both legal & illegal! How do we know what card fees costs a business? All about controlling us at the end of the day

All I saw in this article was price rises coming, the rest means nothing really: they will still rip us off- jus means they'll have to show us a bit more clearly how much they are ripping us off!

A pity these type of punishments or sentences aren't issued to the real crims who murder (like the gang that murdered 2 teens in Melb this wkend) or aggravated burglaries/home invasions & car jacking with machetes, stabbing victims, violent attacks on defenceless elderly citz etc!

Lets all hope any money in compensation & fines (if they even get fined) comes from their massive profits & not from raising prices or finding yet another way to rips us all off! UNTRUSTWORTHY!!
