Opposition leader signals Centrelink cuts! Here’s what they don't want you to know

Why do Pensioners who have worked from when they left school to retirement age, get penalized for working, when a lot of individuals have never worked a day in their lives, always have an excuse why they can not work, or even volunteer, but get paid. Then when they spend their Tax payers...

Could a forgotten trolley put you in danger next time you shop? Experts say it might

So true. Why not do what Aldi do. Buy a token, or put money in. When it first started, holiday time Kids, would come along and ask to take the trolley back. It was only 20c then, so no problem. They probably spent it on junk food, but at least it showed they had some initiative.

So agree, Kaza. No longer have a dog, but all dogs we had, taught never to eat unless told to eat. Even food, the cats could nibble at the dogs food, but they would not eat until told `Eat`. No walk Grandsons Border Collie (otherwise never leaves the yard), and as he is only...

Dementia set to become Australia’s leading cause of death—protect yourself today

So true. Having worked with Clients and Residents, (Nursing Home), one Gentleman was a Maths Teacher, and another a Engineer. A Lady was a Matron, and another a Head Mistress. Another Gentleman was a Police Inspector. So I guess it`s the luck of the draw. And as yet, I don`t think...

When every dollar counts: How grocery prices are forcing tough choices for Australian seniors

The reason why we pay so much at the Supermarket, is that all these free loaders who probably the Tax Payer is supporting can walk into a supermarket, load the trolley up, and walk out without paying. The Workers, and even Security are not allowed to approach them. So work that one out.

I take my Grandsons dog walk every day, and one area we walk past is that one car is over the footpath (not many footpaths in our area) Anyway, just walk around the back of the car and carry on. I guess the owner is probably the Parent, and has a couple of kids who drive. So just walk...

Queensland is creating a public child sex offender register. Will it keep people safer?

2 years, is certainly not a deterrent. Actually a Friend who used to work in the Prison as a Guard, said that if one let out a Pedophile, with a Murderer,(in the exercise yard) the Murderer would beat the pedo half to death. The Murderer would have murdered in a fight/drunken act of...

Did Labor just block 20,000 aged care packages to save money? Sam Rae breaks his silence

The trouble with all these Packages, to be allowed, where are the Carers, trained, with at least Cert 3 in Age Care to be found. Too many Providers are using (to me), untrained people, who really don`t know what they are doing, and the Dress Code, well, Zero. Looks like they got...

Would these same people like it done on their road, outside their house. Just lazy caravaners, and if anyone sees it happening, take their number plates and report them.

The Royal Hotel at Hill End temporarily closes after 150 years

did it have free camping, if you bought a drink. Didn`t matter if it was a beer or lemonade. A lot of country pubs do that, some also offer a free shower etc, again if a drink was bought. The Pub with no Beer offered that, and we stayed there a couple of times. Also many pubs...

Centrelink payments raise questions after long-term welfare revelation

Unfortunately, not many people know much about Epilepsy. My brother suffered from it, plus other problems, but at a very young age (9), I learnt how to deal with a major or slight Epilepsy seizure. Major, I woke Mum, minor, handled it. Mum and Dad both worked. Because we only had...

Yes, I so agree. As I also worked in Facilities. Though one Facility, did serve the food separated. Then went to Community, which having studied Dysphagia, I could report back to our Head Office, so the RN, could then come down and do an assessment, and have Meals on Wheels, supply the...

Startling new data shows overdose crisis spreading into older age groups

Unfortunately, having worked in Age Care for many years, and seen too many Clients on so many drugs, which to me were not really necessary. I`m certainly not a medical expert, but when I asked what this medication was for, I thought ? why. Some Dr`s subscribe before looking at the...

Have had one removed from my jaw line, right side, due to working in the Community for many years in Age Care. But putting himself (Gordon) out there may remind people to check any change in brown `spots` on face or right arm.
